I've taken pictures but only of the view at entrance, but I haven't got one of the sign specifying the charges, should I just leave that section out?
Also interested in this, as I don't have any photos of the signs. The retail park is 45 mins away.

Obviously you NEVER EVER EVER EVER leave out the section about unclear signs...come on newbies, this doesn't take much thinking about: it's the signs that make the 'contract'.  You didn't agree to pay £100 because the signs were pants. They are always pants.   Of course you all need to put the PPC to strict proof of the stupid signage!

But Google Streetview can grab you some images in most cases - embed a screenshot from GSV if it helps.

Plus you are putting them to strict proof on signage , so they should be included in their evidence pack to Popla

So as mentioned above , always , always add in poor and inadequate signage

Yeah, it was more around the need to include pictures of the actual signage. I have had a look on GSV, and the images aren't up to date. I seem to picture a remember a wall of text on their parking sign (a ridiculous amount), but these signs aren't shown on GSV.

It's now over ninety minutes since you posted that. You could've been there and back in that time.

You really do need pictures of the signs showing where they are, how few there are and how difficult they are to read.

You simply cannot just say 'the signs were useless' and expect the assessor to believe you without any evidence. You can be sure that the parking company will argue exactly the opposite.

The PPC will have to show a pic of the sign.

  • The GSV I was looking at was through a link from an old thread about the specific retail park, and oddly, being an old link, the GSV was still showing what must have been displayed at that time. I've since gone directly through Google Maps, rather than an old link, and GSV is showing the more recent signs. I've just updated my own thread (rather than continue to hijack turgidstrop's - although our appeals are similar), and included pics.
  • Ok thanks folks I have made it into a pdf taken out and replace broken links where I am aware, changed wording and added images.  I will attach it here if anyone would be kind enough to give it the once over.  Thanks again for all your patience and advice.

I'd only use your overview photo because the others are making ECP's case for them, with pics of brightly coloured, large signs right next to the meter (not 'metre').  I feel all the other signage pics are not a great example - you want to show bays with NO signs in view, not pictures of the signs.

Also put your POPLA code in the header in small italics so it repeats at the top of every page and give it page numbers at the bottom.

Thanks Coupon-mad, header and footer added and spelling corrected.  With regards to the pictures I do see what your saying, but my understanding of the section on signage was that part of it was referring to the font on the sign about what the charge was, so wouldn't I have to include a picture of that sign in order for that to be consistent with the text?
