Have I messed up?

I have just received a fine from premier park. The car belongs to my father but I was driving it at the time. I didn't actually park (I was lost and pulled in to try to find out where I was meant to go and was only there for a few minutes - I didn't even turn my engine off). I have appealed and told them I was the driver. Now, looking at these forums, that seems like the wrong thing to have done. Any advice?

Depends which Premier Park it is , there are a few
How long do they state that the vehicle was on site ?
Did the NTK PCN comply with POFA ?
What did the landowner say when you complained ? (Plan A )1 -
It is not a fine, have you not read the newbies?
Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP, sometimes it can lead to cancellation.,
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers. On 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, and hopefully this will become law shortly
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.1 -
If your Father is the RK, why are you dealing with it? Did you receive a Notice to Driver - viz a windscreen ticket - or has he received a Notice to Keeper?whatapalava said:I have just received a fine speculative invoice from premier park. In answer to your questions:
It was in a service area in Hounslow and I was there for 5 minutes (on a Sunday morning).
I don't know what all those initials stand for but it says the 'Reasonable Cause' criteria was unauthorised entry/parking. I didn't see any signage about not entering at the entrance and didn't look for any once I'd turned in because I wasn't intended to park. It was a busy road and I just needed to pull over to get my bearings.
I haven't contacted the land owner as I have no idea who that is.
I did read the newbies but, bearing in mind I have already appealed and told them I was the driver, I wasn't sure where I now stood.
My father is out of the country and will be until after Christmas - hence why I am dealing with it. The letter came through the post.
Thank you.1 -

You should, find out (google it)You never know how far you can go until you go too far.1 -
So which Premier Park is it ? (Second time of asking)
Are they saying it was 5 minutes ? Or is it just your opinion and not timed accurately either ?1 -
Sorry - it did say in the newbies advice not to give out too much detail! I probably took that too literally.

It was the service area at 193-199 High Street, Hounslow. It was 9.31 in the morning so the shops weren't even open and the duration was 5 mins and 11 seconds (their timing). My sat nav said I had arrived at my destination and it was a busy road so I pulled into the parking area to be out of the way of the traffic.
I have googled it but I can't find an owner - it just seems to come up with the various shops that it services.0 -
That means your own personal details, this is a public forum where parking scammers take a naughty lookwhatapalava said:Sorry - it did say in the newbies advice not to give out too much detail! I probably took that too literally.
As asked by Redx ... So which Premier Park is it ?1 -
Yes, I realise that now. Sorry.
I did say: the service area at 193-199 High Street, Hounslow. This is all it says in the letter.

I took that to be the incident location
I asked which Premier Park issued the postal PCN ??
This is like wading through treacle !!2
