  • You need proper legal advice about the crime and yes she is still responsible for the payments as per her agreement.

The criminal matters seem to be over - the daughter was never charged with any crime. It was a passenger in the car who was involved with crime.

. May 2020: Daughters car seized by police suspected to be used in a crime to date this is still under investigation. My Daughter gave a lift to someone on a WhatsApp group acting as a taxi where she was paid for the journey.

Given we were still in full Covid lock down at this point.
Why was she even thinking about taking a stranger any where.. As it clearly was not essential travel.

Seriously sounds like a under cover taxi group.

Definitely get legal advice, however even if a car is seized by police she would still be responsible for it. By auctioning the vehicle I would assume they'll pay off most of the finance and your daughter will be responsible for any shortfall. It's likely that she'll still be on the hook financially for some costs relating to her finance at the end of the day but you really need legal advice to try and work out exactly what.
