So kind of them to waive the £12 late fee even though you were completely obliged to pay it as per the T&C's you agreed to and signed up to. Very nice company by all accounts! If I was an Argos shareholder I would be seriously questioning why you were getting a "freebie" like that. Lucky you.
Who do you think you would be questioning ?
What makes you think anyone at Argos would discuss refunds of late payments with shareholders?
I suspect you are 12 years old.

A few years ago I worked in a call centre for a bit and it's quite common people complaining about a "rude" operator which turned out to be just as you say, a customer demanding something that the operator is unable to do as they don't have the authority to give.

I'm sure that happens and I'm sure some operators are rude.
I try not to take it out on the operator either way as being rude to them won't improve your chances of getting the issue sorted.
Although I did lodge a complaint against an operator who lied to me and then when I asked to speak to their supervisor they put me on hold for an hour (I phoned back on my mobile and they said they couldn't find the call even though they could still hear the music).

  • From experian - "If I paid my credit card bill ONE day late, will it reflect on my credit report?
If your payment is one day late it should not be reflected on your credit report. Thirty, 60 and 90 day late payments show up in your credit report. Late payments are not reported to the credit reporting companies until you have missed a full billing cycle (30 days)"

Can't see it affecting your credit record, maybe it is something else.

Wow some seriously nasty and negative people on here. In the current climate I thought people would have a little more kindness in their hearts. You obviously get off on put other people down, says a lot about you
Lol nasty people, I didnt see any nasty posts unless I didn't read each post properly.
Negative people, maybe but maybe them people are being honest and you see it in a negative light.

That's from the US Experian site.

Late payments in the UK can be recorded at any time, though different lenders have different policies.
