Any experiences with Trooli fibre broadband?

Interestingly we live in an FTTP area, I get a solid 76mbit's to the router and 76mbit's to my laptop using 5ghz wifi. The bloke over the road pays for 150mbit's and probably gets it but doesn't actually benefit because only uses 2.4ghz and cant understand why he's only getting 48mbit/s on his wifi connection. (BTW I only get around 45mbits when using 2.4ghz even though the router is getting 76mbit/s)

I'm guessing that your poor wifi performance is due to the distance between your router and your computer. Be aware though that 5ghz wifi may not be the solution over a long distance as it is more affected by distance than 2.4ghz wifi

I've currently got vodafone broadband, and access to both 2.4ghz and 5ghz wifi options. I've logged in to the 5ghz option, sitting next to the router, and am now getting 36.6mb, I didn't realise there was a difference between the two bands! Distance from the router is having an impact too, as suggested in this thread.
I've ordered some of those home plug things, hopefully this will allow a wired connection in my office on the top floor.

It may yet appear that to optimise the speed of the WIFI i merely needed to ask the experts here, rather than throw more money at a faster connection to the property! Thanks all, I'm suitably schooled!!

Some useful info in here, thanks, I've been looking at switching to Trooli myself, makes sense as 100x faster and £5pm cheaper than what we have at the moment
