Building towards a complete life overhaul....might take a while but determined to do it

That's enough to allow me to have a month or two off to settle in and start building a small business, whilst supplementing my income with some part time supply work.
With no mortgage I've estimated my monthly outgoings (household, car etc) as no more than £900. If I can get rid of my car (its still on a contract for the next year) and downsize it that will significantly reduce. It's the only thing I'll really miss - I do love my car and its completely affordable now but would be a luxury then. Needs must though.....
So, its all doable but will take some adjustment5 -
So, its the Saturday before going back to work and I've been awake thinking about it..... Hopefully, that's not a sign of things to come.....
There will be no decorating or home improvements today - I need to get the school prep stuff done and out of the way for the coming week. Unsurprisingly, I have a list of things that need doing for work so just need to buckle down and get on with it
I have a zoom with work colleagues tomorrow morning so would like it all done and dusted today as these things tend to throw up more work....
In addition to the school stuff, I'll do the following.....- Run with the dog if its not too icy
- Hoover and dust
- Grocery shopping
- Big walk with the dog this afternoon
- Phone home

Happy New Year MT and an exciting but daunting one for you. We moved 250 miles away from our home in the South East to Cornwall 32 years ago. You have the advantage though of presumably moving back to an area you know well and you will have family support. I look forward to reading about your plans as they happen.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Tigger - you're a woman after my own heart - I'll probably end up talking myself into justifying why I should keep it. It's a proper dilemma!!
I did manage to get everything except the grocery shopping on the list done today (plus a few extra bits and bobs)- after reviewing what's in I decided that it can wait until at least tomorrow.
I'm really happy that I got everything for school sorted as planned (all the INSET stuff finished, an hour long chat with my boss and most online lessons for the week written) and just have a couple of online lessons to finish off for the end of the week now. Having seen the news today though, who knows what will happen longer term....
On a completely different note, I took the dog for a big walk this afternoon in a snow storm - which then promptly melted, But, by the time we went for the post-tea walk about 7ish, it had completely frozen solid and was like an ice rink and I managed to slip and fall over not once but twice!! A bit bruised but ok - was more concerned about being seen looking like a total bambi on ice k*ob!! The dog, of course, thought it was hilarious and thought I was playing and just jumped all over me on the floor .... twice!

Bless at the dog jumping all over you when you were on the ground. Our miniature labradoodle would do that too.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Morning all!
Its still flipping freezing here! Bracing myself for taking the dog to the park (in the car!) for a run around - its still too slippery to walk on the pavements.
Then, its back home to do a bit of work and make myself presentable ready for a work zoom this morning. And so it begins.....
Have a few other things to do today - need to pick up some groceries, put some diesel in the car, phone home, finish off the lessons for the week, and take the dog for a big walk this afternoon. That's enough for the last day before work6 -
Just read all your diary MT - exciting times ahead. Good luck with work tomorrow - so far I'm in as I'm primary but who knows what will happen between today and tomorrow!
Looking forward to keeping up with your plans as they unfold!
