HSBC i get notifications of money in.Deleted_User said
Sadly not, if you leave them you cannot rejoin for 12 months.
I know many banks/apps give you real-time notifications of money spent but do any give real-time notifications of money deposited? This is what I really need.1 -
Llloyds give you real time notification of money in, money out.3

Thanks guys. Managed to sort out a workaround to get the Virgin account to do what I wanted. You can get an alert when the account goes over a stipulated amount. As you only get interest on £1000, I set up the alert for that, so when money goes in I now get a text. Then move the excess to the instant savings account (0.5%), meaning balance is back to £1000 and I'll receive an alert next time money is paid in. A bit high fuluted I know but it works.1

I can't see Tesco bothering to introduce instant notifications for their current account now that they've withdrawn it for new customers.vikkiew said:Any updates to this?Tesco - is it still only available for credit cards?......
I can confirm that neither TSB nor Nationwide have instant notifications, and that Barclays notifications still lack any details on the merchant, e.g. they say your direct debit of £X has been paid, but they don't say which supplier it relates to.0 -

This article from last week suggests quite the opposite: https://www.finextra.com/pressarticle/87311/tesco-bank-enlists-imimobile-to-boost-mobile-app-usage

Quite. There's not a single mention of current accounts.MDMD said:

This article from last week suggests quite the opposite: https://www.finextra.com/pressarticle/87311/tesco-bank-enlists-imimobile-to-boost-mobile-app-usageI suppose you are expecting a detailed project plan with feature implementation dates. The release states "Tesco Bank is looking to encourage more customers to use its Mobile Banking App for all their banking needs.", having listed the services including current accounts provided to the customer previously, and then describes the notifications feature already in place for credit cards from the service provider. Rolling out notifications and other features like OTP verification to debit cards once it exists for credit cards is a simple job and hardly a "bother" and saves cost for them, it is not just to please the customer. Tesco could do an M&S if that's what you are guessing, yes some on here think that may happen, but there's no public information.0
