Moving from England to Wales during Welsh lockdown

We are due to exchange on our house in the next week or so. We will also be moving to Wales but have not found anywhere yet. We will be living in a motor home whilst we search. I suppose we'll have to just hover round the border until lockdown lifts!2

Indeed - when my brother/family were able to manage to go to Lockdown apology-for-a-funeral months back they took with them a letter from the minister concerned in case they were stopped halfway down the motorway. They weren't.
Personally I've found the best way to go about things is to put on a confident demeanour and obviously confidently expecting to "go about one's business" and most people then take you at your (non-verbal) word that you are clearly entitled to do whatever-it-is and know that fact and don't challenge you in the first place.0 -
Croeso i Gymru (Wecome to Wales).
Best move we ever made, hope you’ll be very happy here. (Just remember to buy any pants/socks before you cross over the border! 😂)

Thanks for all the advice.
ChasingtheWelshdream - this has been a long time dream for us, my mum was a Welsh girl, her family are Welsh through & through so I do have some Welsh blood! Just wish the move had been possible earlier in our lives but better late than never!0 -

It appears that you currently own 2 homes. One that you currently reside in in England and a new one in Wales.
Therefore it is not essential that you move to Wales during the lockdown, regardless of whether you will eventually make the Welsh one your permanent home in the future.0 -

Whether its rented or not, they still have a home, so not essential for them to move. It's only a few weeks. Think of the old people.0
