Uc and sanctions

Hi if you entitled to £550 per month on UC and are sanctioned, how does it work as I've read of its a sanction for one person off a couple it's 50%
Plus additional elements are not sanctioned like housing and child element
How do you know what of the 550 is what
Thanks

Your statement shows you a breakdown of all of the elements you have been awarded.

My 550 is what the benefit calculator said as a family we would be entitled to if
     lose my job,
But I'm struggling with mental health issues, so not sure whether to leave and get myself better,

I've been on medication for over 30 years, and am suffering a very bad relapse
Do UC check with employers why you have left
  • Why not go see your GP and get a fit note and get signed off work while you try and get well enough for work again?

That won't affect sending fit notes. Is the mental health caused by the disciplinary?

No I have suffered for many years but obviously this has made it worse,
Would I be sanctioned if I left and had a sick note

You are not automatically sanctioned because you have been involved in a disciplinary process - it depends on the circumstances. If you have a valid Fit Note you will not be sanctioned.
With a Fit Note UC will then put you through a Work Capability Assessment.
