Haven't driven for 7 years
Got a clean license
Lost the physical pink card a long time a go

I take medication for mental health and understand my psychiatrist will be involved

Thanks

I'm not sure what you mean...

Find the car you want to buy.
    Pay for it.
    Insure it.
    Tax it.
    Collect it.
    Drive it.

You will need to apply for a replacement photocard, if you've lost it.

And, yes, health issues (both physical and mental) may well play a part in whether somebody can drive or not.

Pink card? Provisional driving licences are pink, full ones are green.
    What?

I thought pink was full, green is provisional

Has the OP surrendered their license for medical reasons and now expecting they will be cleared to drive?

Or, is the OP asking for advice about the purchase process?

Are you looking for advice on how to replace your licence, or on how to buy a car?
If the latter, AdrianC gave you all the info you need, with just one item missing: test drive the car before you put down a deposit for it, before you sign anything .

I'm going to go back to bed now, and not get up until I've actually woken up.

Yes. How to get my pink license as I lost the card 7 years ago. And what I'd need from my psychiatrist as I'd need to declare it , right?
Is it all in the dvla website?

I think the colours have changed over the years, especially for persons of a certain vintage before the photocard was introduced.
My full licence photocard is pink while the counterpart is what I would describe as green, but all the data fields are pale pink.

Either way, if you have lost your licence photocard and / or counterpart, you will need to apply for a new one via the DVLA website.

Thank you for making me look out my photocard to check the colours, as I just realised it is 10-years old so I am off to get the new one now. :)

@venomx Back  in August you were thinking about it https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6178081/is-a-car-worth-it#latest

Have your circumstances changed.  Running a car is an expensive exercise.
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill

This page gives some advice on whether your medical condition needs to be notified to DVLA and, if so how and when to do that.
    https://www.gov.uk/driving-medical-conditions
The hyperlink in there "Check if you need to tell DVLA about your condition" looks like it will provide further advice.
