HP printer failing on Apple computers

I am suffering from the above - anybody else?
I had to resort to linking the printer to an old HP (windows) laptop - worked perfectly.
Fuming!

On page 13 https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printing-Errors-or-Lights-Stuck-Print-Jobs/Can-t-get-around-this-Error-telling-me-to-reinstall-software/td-p/7823839/page/13
HP have said: "We unintentionally revoked credentials on some older versions of Mac drivers. This caused a temporary disruption for those customers and we are working with Apple to restore the drivers.
The fact that they can do this unintentionally suggests a shocking level of incompetence
Annoying to the nth degree to have had no notice of this from HP - and hopefully a fix is coming. HP please come clean and tell us people who have bought your printers what is going on!!!!
Or is it as some have suggested really a ploy to get people to scrap old printers, which would not fit in with their environmental statements - If i do replace the printer I might chose a more professional company next time
Not even an apology for their shocking incompetence!
My next printer won't be HP.

Thank you for the above - the sheer incompetence and lack of any responsibility towards customers is appalling.0

It might seem unreasonable to point out that you wouldn't have had the problem if you'd got the HP printer but chosen Windows rather than Apple...
Nobody has the right to a choice any more?
The stupid mistake, the utter incompetence are excusable?
Oh please........

So a company makes a mistake. Nobody's perfect, even HP.So people couldn't print for a while. Not the end of the world, and in your case you were able to get round it by connecting the printer to Windows.1

So people couldn't print for a while.
I managed - I shouldn't have had to.
And this person? https://www.theregister.com/2020/10/23/hp_printer_macos/
I've redownloaded and reinstalled the printer software TWICE now but nothing has changed, just the same message about HP Utility now missing. Our jobs depend on this printer, HP."
And others in urgent need?
And the lack of apology or information from HP itself?
And the way it treated customers making an enquiry (see link in my first post)?
Sheer utter incompetence and indifference to their customers.
I'm only surprised that they haven't blamed it on Corona Virus!
