No, you have no need to do so. YOU are not thge one wasting the courts time, THEY are, by adding on unlawful amounts theyknow  they are not permitted to claim.
Stop letting this get to you.
What date or deadline calculated from the hearing date have you been given to file your documents, such as the WS and exhibits? The claimant will almost certainly have the exact same date
Remember you file with the claimant AND to the court you have been allocated to.

    Thanks @SayNoToPCN
I am unsure as to what deadline I have been given, as the letter doesn't mention these. I have submitted the defence and DQ and the latest is that I've been given a date for the hearing.

Read your notice of allocation (the one that gives you the court date) again, it might be on page 2 but it should give a date or say something like "at least 14 days before the hearing"

Show us a copy of the hearing letter then.  It's usually explicitly written , maybe on the back

Yes, it states "each party must deliver to the other party and to the court office copies of all documents on which that party intends to rely at the hearing no later than fourteen days before the hearing".
I need to start preparing this info :)

Yep, so that's clear then! Not sure why you were unsure - had you missed it? You MUST thoroughly read court documents! Not doing so is foolish.

Phew, you do have time then, just make sure you get it all (witness statement, evidence and summary cost assessment) to the court and claimant 14 days before end of May, although I assume you have a date rather then "end of May".

Why don't people read their Court Orders?  How does this happen so much, that we end up telling people to read what the Court has directed?

I can attempt to explain this, at least what happened in my situation. Quite simply it was a reaction to an emotion one may feel when receiving a court order through the post. The instant reaction is to be anxious and reach for help. If someone doesn't suffer this way, then I appreciate this is not easy to understand. I would have gone back to read it after I'd allowed the panic to subside, but my personal reaction was to become very anxious and reach out in the hope of support.. almost like an immediate reaction when you are scared is not to dig any further into the reason you are scared, but to seek help.

Granted this is not an excuse and it is quite embarrassing in hindsight, but it is an attempt at a reason. I should have read it properly before even commenting, but I am extremely grateful for the people who have shared their expertise and given their time.. as I have done in my own industry and area of knowledge over the years.

Or you redact the document , both sides if necessary , take pictures and post them , so we can point out the obvious like subtracting 14 days from the hearing date , but now you know , as does the claimant who also has that same deadline
