Maybe to a legal representative.No. You can't get those costs back.
You really need to read the 2nd post of the NEWBIES thread if you thought this won't be at your local choice of court.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The date on it is issue date : 3 Nov 2020.With a Claim Issue Date of 3rd November, you have until Monday 23rd November to file an Acknowledgment of Service. If possible, do not file an AoS before 7th November, but otherwise, there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.To file an AoS, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.Having filed an AoS, you have until 4pm on Monday 7th December 2020 to file your Defence. That's over four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute. To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service instructions.Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.4

Thank you for pointing me to the Newbies thread, and now currently researching facts about my specific case vs those highlighted here.

Thank you @KeithP , I'll research everything thoroughly, and I'm sure I will need some advice before I submit the defence, so if you don't mind me popping back on here then that will be highly appreciated. eg - how to get hold of the signage that was installed at the time of this presumed offence?0

You should get that as part of the claimants bundle a couple of weeks before the hearing1

No, you will automatically receive it (much later) as part of the court process. Seems to me you you should be reading the NEWBIE sticky again. For now, concentrate on your defence and submit it in line with advice in the template defence thread.am1980 said:
I'm composing an email to their solicitors, is this the correct way of receiving the evidence that they intend on relying upon?Redx said:You should get that as part of the claimants bundle a couple of weeks before the hearing2 -
Thank you. I read it but it didn't state anywhere to ask for the evidence, whereas elsewhere I have been told otherwise so thought it prudent to ask first. I'll concentrate on the evidence and post here before submitting. Thanks again.1
