Ummm, please try incorporating your facts into the brand new template defence I've just finished writing and posted about just now!
It would be good to see how it works. In your case you will need to use more numbers than just the suggested points 2 and 3 for your facts, but I'd like to see how you use the new template (no linky, go find!).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes that's perfect. Better than using a template blindly.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

At least the claimant/solicitor will not be able to trot out that tired old "the defendant has created his defence from the Internet"!Coupon-mad said:Yes that's perfect. Better than using a template blindly.4

Ive never really understood that arguement. I am not a laywer, of course im going to use the internet to get guidance on the subject. And whether or not i use a template defence, as long as the points raised are valid in the case why would it matter? I mean, if i hired a lawyer, its not like the claimant could argue that i've only raised these argument because the lawyer has written them and not the defendant.Le_Kirk said:Chico_talent said:Thanks for the suggestion CM. The internet is one of the greatest inventions of the 20th century, anyone who derides it is a fool imo.You never know how far you can go until you go too far.1

It's particularly rich when their own claim and WS is 95% template in almost every case. But because these lawyers are 'guns-for-hire', often doing a 'one-off', only receiving their bundle less than 24 hours before the hearing, they may well be blissfully unaware of how easily their accusation can be fired back at them, with interest!Chico_talent said:

I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Both valid points and amongst the points I make whenever a claimant tries to use the "defence is bad because it is off t'Internet."Umkomaas said:It's particularly rich when their own claim and WS is 95% template in almost every case.
