Nothing wrong with a wee wobble from time to time, helps us focus on what really matters. You have my sympathy if £450k for a smaller house is a reasonable "deal" for your part of the world!1

Unfortunately £450 is 'affordable' here for a 3 bed. That's nearly 50% bigger than our tiny house. Ours is approx 380k. Here's our floor plan for you to laugh at 😂.

Lidl tempted me with the £5 off £40. I've bought nearly 5kg of coffee beans to use the voucher 😂. In fairness long term it is a saving...
I will make a list, but I think it needs to be weighted and I'm not sure how to weight everything 🙃.

That house is in a gorgeous place with all that woodland surrounding it.
I think maybe you should consider the pros and cons for staying at work. And same for leaving (and possibly using that time to save nursery fees and find something better suited?) If you left could you manage with just one income?
I left south east London as couldn't afford even a shed there 🤣 so sympathise on the house prices where you are.
The layout of your house now is the exact same as my friends in the Midlands and hers cost £175000 a few years back. It's mental how different prices are 🙈.Emergency Fund goal - £1000/2000

I was trying to figure out why you had a tiny room full of snowflakes. It's the fridge 🤦🏻♂️2

Crazy house prices, £450k would get you a mansion and land where I now live in NI. Feel for you. My sister swapped a 2 bed flat on South coast and bought a 4 bed detached here and had change. I find a pros and cons list very useful, it helped us make the decision to move here.Mortgage start date Nov 2014 - £90,545 over 25 years

I'll do a list when I get a minute. There are so many things to think about...
Been looking at forest weekend break thing for kids. Probably not what I should be doing now 😬. I saw £20 flights (£64 return) to Edinburgh last night which got my attention too as they weren't even ungodly hours for kids, but my ears are agony on planes usually and I'm a bit scared of taking DS1 on one as I think he'd be intolerable if he's the same. With hotel it's a few hundred cheaper than a few days in woods. Finally bought a homeStarting mortgage £289,500 31.01.19 - Current outstanding £181,991.57Overpayments since 27.03.19: £59,482.47Moving fund so far £4500 - Premium bonds £4,0002 -
Edinburgh is lovely for a visit, might want to get it done before it gets cold, believe it's going that way next week, internet be believed...1

I do love Edinburgh, though I've not been there since kids arrived. I was looking last night so prices might have changed, but it was actually end of March! I have no idea why so cheap! Even when DH was flying up loads in 2018-19 and I was booking ahead it was never that low and usually horrible times!!Finally bought a homeStarting mortgage £289,500 31.01.19 - Current outstanding £181,991.57Overpayments since 27.03.19: £59,482.47Moving fund so far £4500 - Premium bonds £4,0000
