These days it is more likely to be e-mail.  Was there not a special e-mail address for sending documents to on the letter?
No, there wasn't, but in the letter before they said I have to confirm my attendance and my phone number 3 days prior to the hearing and there was an email address where I've should reply to.
Would you recommend to send my signed defence as a pdf to the same email address?
I would use that e-mail address.

Thanks, I gonna do this then.
At least that way I have proof that they have received it.
And it's just the defence which I have posted here a few weeks ago where you and coupon-mad have made the corrections, right?
No witness statement or anything else at this point?

I would also file and serve a WS and evidence, and costs schedule because the procedure most courts follow after a CCJ is set aside, lets people down in his respect and never tells them they can and should file evidence and a WS.  It's all wrong, IMHO.

Of course, everything has to also be emailed to the Claimant (or solicitor if they used one).   The best recent example of what a WS, evidence and costs assessment look like for a parking claim is the one posted by @jrhys a few weeks ago.

  • My problem is, that I do not see how I could bring any evidence for the fact that I haven't parked there and my wife only for an hour and not for 2 days?

You simply say what really happened, or is most likely, given the two dates.

The Judge will listen and apply the 'balance of probabilities' to the facts. You don't need to (and can't) evidence it, in a case that is clearly a double visit.  Append as one exhibit, the BPA Article about ANPR that admits this is an inherent ANPR flaw.

Google maps time line, receipts, witnesses.

There are any number of ways you could show being elsewhere. Obviously most wouldn't show the vehicle but they add credibility to your version of events and sway the balance of probability in your favour.

Google finds it so I deliberately post no links to such easy to find things!

I have sent in my defence with witness statement and schedule of costs about a month ago.
Today I have received this letter, which confuses me a bit, as it says that I have received a defence by the defendant. However I thought I was the defendant?

Check with Leicester court tomorrow , see if they posted that DQ to you

If yes , download the n180 DQ pdf , fill it in , email it to the Leicester email address and CC the lawyer ( or the claimant email address if no lawyer is being used ) , following the steps and numbered bullet points in the newbies FAQ sticky thread and the defence template thread

In other words , make sure you do your job properly even if others don't , you are definitely the defendant
