No.  But get the CCJ settled and time will heal your files.
Wrong answer.  You don't settle these, you get them set aside. Fairly easily.

In future if it's a parking charge please direct the OP to the parking fines forum.

OK coming late to this. The o/p needs to write to the private parking company (ppc) and get as much information as possible about the initial parking charge.

If the o/p does not have the cash for the court fee, there's at least a chance he may be eligible for fee remission (free) applications to set aside

If the ppc have failed to implement court procedure there is a basis to challenge the judgement

The comments have been helpful. OP lost track of everything which is no ones fault but their own. They just need to pay up and move on.
Not if they have a defence to the ticket.
Such as? Forgetting to update the DVLA
isn't a defence and is also illegal in itself.
I was under the impression  that the Parking companies are only allowed to ask the DLVA once for keepers addresses
If  so the OP updating or not the DVLA database would be irrelevant?
I am sure even if they were allowed to do so they would "forget" to do so

And the PPCs reckon that people who 'fail' to update their address should be denied the independent appeal (LOL!  how will they identify those ones then...).  Sadly, some of the blame for default CCJs lies firmly at the DVLA door and I hope they are planning on putting their data rectification processes right, when they know a data subject has moved.
