Well if you meet the criteria, it should be possible to get it upgraded! In fact I'm not sure there's any way to directly apply for the premier version - I had to get it upgraded by my account manager.colsten said:Oh, I get it now, you are using the Premier Reward! Seems I might have missed a trick by going just for the Reward.....
Definitely worth it for me though - 28,200 Avios per year for a £48 fee. Shame I can't get Mrs RC to open one of her own as well, she still thinks I'm mad doing this sort of thing...1 -
You can apply online but I am falling on the 2 Rewards account hurdle. So not really worth the hassle, although the monthly charge would be just £2, rather then the £4 I am paying atm.

Maybe I'm missing something but can't you just ask them to 'upgrade' the existing reward accounts to premier reward ones. No need to open anything new...?colsten said:You can apply online but I am falling on the 2 Rewards account hurdle. That's what I did with my first one... didn't even realise that the premier version existed to start with, but then my account was originally set up as some sort of legacy private banking account, which meant the Natwest app didn't work too well when applying for new products... all sorted now and the account manager even backdated the rewards for 6 months as he realised I should have had the premier version all along, but it was a bit of a faff to get corrected.0 -
Has anyone tried setting up two Direct Debits to the same company to get the £4 reward?
Thinking about using 2 x £2 Direct Debit to Birmingham Mids.

Yes, no problem if BM let you do it. I use a different building society but that shouldn't matter.1

BM is interesting as you actually set up 2x separate DD mandates when you link your current account - 1 for "one-off" transfers and another for "recurring" (weekly/monthly) transactions. In that sense, you already have 2 different DDs to use here. I do recall however that someone mentioned in another thread that a weekly DD would satisfy the requirements for NatWest - there is after all nothing in their T&Cs about needing the DDs to be paid to different companies, only that 2x DDs pay out each month. I haven't tried this however as I have heaps of DD generating accounts left over from a few years back, but let us know how you get on if you try thisSpeculator said:Has anyone tried setting up two Direct Debits to the same company to get the £4 reward?
