Looking for a SMART Shower, I like the idea of the Aqualisa with Amazon Alexa control or maybe Mira

What exactly would you want the Alexa voice commands for?DrStragelove20 said:Some interesting points. Specifically I was interested in the Aqualisa Smart shower and how useful the ALEXA voice commands are.
I'm baffled as to how anybody could want to make a shower "smart" when all you have to do is push a button , being able to turn your shower on remotely is the most pointless gimmick I've ever heard of , not only that incredibly wasteful of water0 -
I’m not interested in remote controls either. All I want to do is push the on/off control button and have a temperature controlled shower.
This is being ruined by the temperature fluctuating at one point during the shower.0 -

I'm not sure how Alexa will help if you have issues with demand on the hot water supply during your shower??Sidwell38 said:I’m not interested in remote controls either. All I want to do is push the on/off control button and have a temperature controlled shower.

Agreed. The shower is ‘sensible’ most of the time but has this annoying habit to give a short blast of cold water after running at the correct temperature for a few seconds.
Anyone help about how this can be overcome would be appreciated.

I don't understand all the ranting about smart showers. I can understand they are not for everyone and, indeed, when we had a new shower recently we decided to forgo this pleasure but if you wish to use the app on the your phone to turn the shower on so by the time you reach the shower it is at the right temperature then what is the problem? not enough live and let live on this thread!😥0

I must confess that I assumed that it was a purely electric shower. This assumption seems to be wrong.

I'm with you, OP! I don't find it hard to turn on a shower, but I listen to music all the time in my shower and I've wasted incredible amounts on shower speakers. Would love some genuine feedback on smart showers with built-in waterproof mains-powered speaker systems and LED lighting.0

Why does it have to be a shower? You can buy a ceiling light with a built in bluetooth speaker or just a separate speaker. The more devices a shower combines, the more likely it is to fail.kate702 said:Would love some genuine feedback on smart showers with built-in waterproof mains-powered speaker systems and LED lighting.

I assume nobody has had any problems with their Aqualisa shower, as I described earlier so I give up!0
