  • Ok I'll ask the obvious question, why do you want a smart shower?

Why would you need to make a shower smart?

What is the advantages over entering bathroom , pushing button, stripping, showering and pressing button to turn off shower?
  • Just had a mooch at the cost of a smart shower and I found one which is nearly a grand! - HOW MUCH!

We had a shower installed recently. The bit required to make it "smart" seemed to cost a fair bit extra on what was already not cheap. Happy with the non smart Mira we ended up with.

We have a smart shower.  It is perfect as it allows you to take a shower when you need it, at a temperature that it knows you like and for a duration that you want.  It controls the flow of water so the shower isn't too fierce for my delicate skin.

My smart shower is controlled by my hand and the beauty of it means I don't have to use my phone to change the setting for a Monday morning, I can just twist the dial.  Genius.

Pull shower lever forward, wait for warm water, get in, shower, push lever back, get out.

Do you want Amazon to know when you're having a shower / your preferred temperature / duration etc.

I don't really understand why anyone would want this?

*I'm not a luddite, we have app controlled central heating - which is handy to put it on when we've been out all day.
  • The Aqualisa Smart Shower is fully connected with your smart home device and you will be able to activate it by simply using your voice. By connecting your device to your voice activated shower via the Aqualisa app, you will be able to both turn on and turn off your shower, from any location in your home.
As long as you have a working hand, why would you want to or need to do this?

I understand the need for technology in some instances but IMO, this isn't one of those instances.

I have a mira mode digital shower.   It has an app, though not aware I can hook it up to Google or Alexa.  No regrets in buying it - we have a button outside the cubical that turns on the shower at the last setting.  Ultimately means you don't ever get blasted by cold water.  Have never used the app beyond first setting it up.  Will be fitting the same in our new house.  It cost about £350, I installed it myself.

    It's really worth quoting here

Wow! This is really worth paying £200-£300 pounds extra for.

    This is just priceless!!

  • Imagine the scene:
You are in the bedroom with your significant other and during a bit of foreplay, the subject of golden showers comes up followed very soon afterwards by the sound of your Aqualisa pumping out gallons of hot water in the bathroom next door!
