Not sure if this is the right forum but can someone recommend the best virus protection on the market. Currently have McaFEE which is running out this month.
Want to get another one, what do you recommend?

Assume your using Windows 10, the inbuilt Windows Defender is more than adequate.0

If you have Windows 10 , you won't really need one, remove Mcaffee , and let windows security take over.

Yes Windows 10 - So you believe its fine?
I dont mind paying the 20 odd pounds for virus protection. Safety is more important then anything for me0 -
Also whilst i have you - separate topic but i do not no much about computers.
The last few days out the blue my laptop does not boot up as quick as it used too. I have a SSD and the boot up took around 5 seconds now its like 45 seconds. Its defo something to do with a windows update or a AMD update that was done. Happened after one of the two0 -
I ran Avast free for the last few years and it did the job. New computer comes with a years subscription like you, once that's done I'll go back to Avast I think.

I have found that Bitdefender seems have the most positive reviews from customers and also tech websites. Infact, its petty much top 3 on all websites if not top 1. For 25 pound and a peace of mind i think i may choose that. Anyone had experience with them?0

Unless you really need an Internet Security Suite then simply stick with the built-in Windows Defender. If you absolutely must have a separate AV then I would suggest Bitdefender Free. (Again, only pay if you need a Suite).3

Not sure but is there still a 'specific' way you need to remove McCrappy?
