I see. Well that is still also an absolute shambles. 5 days and no result? I really would be chasing that up again.0

I have chased them a couple of times but they can't do anything until 5 days after the test was carried out.
I'll continue Self isolating waiting for the result as it's the right thing and I'm advised too on the Gov website but I can see why many aren't going to be so cooperative.
Hate to say it but it will make me think twice if I ever get symptoms again. Just can't afford to lose out on pay like this again.Official MR B fan club, dont go............................0 -

It's awful as It also means my young child is off school and wife is looking after him whilst I'm hiding in my room!

Must of literally just changed then. I rang 119 on Tuesday afternoon, they said they would nudge them and result came through few hours later.0

Just rang again and I'm now on a delayed results list now whatever that is.
He said there's even a chance I might not get it back at all and I'll have to continue to self isolate for the full 10 days.
I did raise the original question from this thread with him and he does think I should be eligible for support once the period is over.0 -
That’s ridiculous, I’m sure your entitled to get the result, don’t think they can just say they won’t process it.0

As neither of those apply to you, you are not required to self isolate and are not eligible for the £500 payment.
https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2020/1045/made
"2.—(1) This regulation applies where an adult is notified, other than by means of the NHS Covid 19 smartphone app developed and operated by the Secretary of State, by a person specified in paragraph (4) that—(a)they have—
(i)tested positive for severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) (“coronavirus”) pursuant to a test after 28th September 2020, or
(ii)had close contact after 28th September 2020 with someone who has tested positive for coronavirus;"
Neither apply to you so you're free to go about your business. It's the same legislation that couldn't stop Margaret Ferrier from traveling up and down from Glasgow, despite thinking she had it, and travelling back again even though she had.

I’m hoping someone can help? I don’t know who else to contact? I was in contact with someone who tested positive on 09/10. I received a test telling me to self isolate and then a follow up phone call. I am obviously doing this but the text and isolation certificate that I have to show my employer and my local council to claim the isolation payment states to isolate until the 30/09. I received these on the 16/10 so someone has obviously in putted September and not October. Luckily my employer has been understanding but my local council can’t continue with my claim as, according to track and trace it’s been over the two weeks limit I have to claim. I have been told to contact 119 but they say it’s not them, I contacted track and trace and they say it’s not them??? I can’t get an answer from anyone and as I’m only receiving SSP I need to claim this payment ASAP. Can anyone help?

I don't know the answer to your question but spamming the forum on multiple posts, including starting one of your own, isn't going to get you help any quicker. Once someone sees your question, if they can help they will answer your question, in the meantime please have some patience.
