EON have ruined my perfect credit rating :(

Again, the score is irrelevant in this entire debacle. If anything you'll see it drop further if/when the erroneous account markers are removed.GeorgeKnows said:
I appreciate the reply thank you. The issue here is that EON cancelled my direct debit without my authorisation or approval which has lead to me having a crap credit score.PRAISETHESUN said:
If the DD doesn't get used to pull money from your bank account for 13 months then it will be cancelled due to inactivity. If they've been taking money from your credit balance for that length of time rather than your bank account, the DD would've been cancelled. Not sure if it is EON or your bank who does that but either way the DD would've been cancelled if it wasn't used.GeorgeKnows said:
Yes, and no.Thrugelmir said:Was the direct debit inactive for over 12 months?
Yes - It was inactive for a total of 12 months - but for 5/6 of those months money was deducted from the amount of money I had in credit with EON.
No - I've only got 5/6 months of arrears on my credit file.
Not much you can do here apart from getting the formal complaints process started (if you haven't already) and escalating if/when they do not resolve it to your satisfaction.
The formal complaints process has started - I'll keep this thread updated with what happens here on in.
Again, thanks for the reply!1 -

Update: It's been 5 working days since I last spoke with EON. I was assured that a resolutions manager would be in contact with me regarding my complaint within 5 working days. I haven't heard anything (again), which would actually make this 10 working days (14 days in total) since I originally made my complaint.
Despite being on the line with the customer service guy whilst he read over my notes, when I requested to speak to his manager he said "I've just gone over the case and the notes with my manager and she said that somebody will call you over the next few days" - I said "You've just been on the phone to me, I haven't been on hold - you haven't spoken with anyone, please can you forward me onto your manager" to which he replied "she's now away from her desk".
I've been lied to time and time again by EON. I'll keep posting updates on this thread so that when somebody inevitably has the same issue as I'm having in the future.
I've been advised that I'll hear back by 6PM, will update once I've spoken with the resolutions manager who's name is {Name removed by Forum Team}0 -
You need to remove names of staff as it breaches GDPR.
Also the complaints process is up to 8 weeks, which you're only than 2/8ths into.

I understand the complaints process is 8 weeks, but I was advised by EON that they'd contact me within 5 working days, which they haven't done. They are continually lying to me which is unfair.
As of 17:50 I haven't been contacted (and they promised they'd call me before 6PM today).0 -

Question. In what respect does an individual posting a name on a forum breach GDPR? He is not subject to GDPR regulations. Personally I don't think it wise to post staff names on a forum they are representing the company but its not a breach.

Posting someone’s names and the company they work for can lead to malicious behaviour towards said person. Therefore it breaches GDPR.dinglebert said:D3xt3r5L4b said:You need to remove names of staff as it breaches GDPR.

Complete rubbish. You need to learn what and who GDPR affects.
