Tsb mortgage

Has anyone recently done an application with tsb or waiting for an offer and got a timeline you can share or tell how long you have been waiting?
our timeline goes-
19/09 - secure new build plot
22/09 - dip with tsb
23/09 - full application submitted
01/10 - valuation done. MB said they had asked for husbands business account bank statement, I had sent her this she forgot to upload it so she sent it in.
02/10 - told valuation has been assessed and satisfied.
08/10 - an update from broker to say ‘we await an underwriter assessing the application’
No further updates, no requests for further information, no questions being asked.
I feel we could still be waiting a little while longer. We’re originally told 10-12 working days and are due to change contracts 23/10. I check this forum but no one seems to post about tsb. We had a choice between Halifax and tsb and the broker thought tsb would be better and now every time I see someone have such a quick timeline with Halifax I get a little disheartened.

Hi,
I’ve gone with tsb too and like you, no one else seems to post about them. I’m awaiting my offer too. They asked for one months bank statement which I sent on Thursday.. so nows the wait. I’m going nuts waiting since my application with Nationwide was declined at the last minute (35 working day in may I add)
so glad to finally have a thread that relates to my new ‘hopefully’ lender.SamFirst time buyer with TSB2 -
When did you submit you application? That’s rubbish with nationwide! Hopefully you hear something soon! That’s my fear here, If tsb decline the next port of call is Halifax. My broker keeps telling me don’t worry, everything’s fine but the waiting is torture!sambam67 said:Hi,

My MA applied on 10/09 I think.. after a few days they did valuation, that was satisfied a day or 2 later. Then they asked for 1 month bank statement. Due to unforeseen circumstances, was unable to send this until 08/10. My timeline probably won’t help you much since I caused a delay of almost 2 weeks. I really hope to hear this week.. things need to start moving soon or I’ll lose my house 🥺 xjenjen26 said:

That’s a long time! My broker said every time something new is submitted to them it can take them 5-7 working days to assess it so I’m dreading if they start asking for more and it’s just going to delay things even more! Hopefully you get an offer soon and it all works out 🤞🏼sambam67 said:

Hopefully you’ll hear soon then. I think the lower LTV cases seem to hear pretty quickly, although I had to magic another 5% out of thin air, surely they should see that as dedication? Hahah xFirst time buyer with TSB1

That is dedication lol! My husband is self employed as a sole trader but hasn’t been affected at all with everything going on and all bank statements will prove that but I feel that’s probably why we are still waiting! It’s driving me crazy not knowing wether an underwriter is currently looking at the application or if it’s still in a queue waiting for an underwriter to start looking at it, the wording she used last week could have meant either! This is what’s so stressful isn’t it. Luckily I’m a nurse so haven’t being affected financially by Covid. I’m a single applicant so that may be why mines taking so long also? Oh I don’t know. Hopefully we both hear this week. I’m doing my MA head in! She says I’m not but I know I am haha! XFirst time buyer with TSB0
