Name the Estate Agent - just so no one else has to deal with these muppets.
I would cancel the agreement to market your property now and choose another agent - you will have to have a list of interested parties as well, just incase one of them views via the next agent.0 -

Send them an email,
Dear xxx,
After speaking to a few friends who have recently sold their houses it has become apparent that it is quite common practice for Estate agents to share the details of people viewing the house with the vendors. I would find this information particularly helpful and so would request that you share this information with me. I've been advised that this shouldn't breach GDPR however if this is a concern for you, please request consent from the relevant parties before agreeing to a viewing.
Best wishes,

She ended up offering 30% under asking because that was all she could afford. Our estate agent (who was useless) was pretty embarrassed to pass on the offer but they did. When we eventually sacked the 1st agent and put it on with another we had three viewings booked for the first week. One of these was the same woman and the estate agent did the viewing. She literally pretended she had never viewed throughout the viewing and it was only when I checked her name that I realised it was her, was able to get the agent to ring and ask why she hadn't been honest (she was also embarrassed about her previous offer). She ended up offering just over the asking price as she hadn't seen anything else she liked and she had finally sold her own house. An unusual situation but does illustrate why it can be useful to know names. It gave the estate agent some ammunition too with regards to her offer.0

I was going to put similar in but I'd start a little friendlier and then reply with that if they say no.1

When I was selling a couple of months ago, I was always given the name of the clients and asked to pass on any feedback they had given. I'm in Scotland.

thing is, I understand that they may not give the full info - John and Jane Smith, but they might say "They're called John and Jane" or "Mr and Mrs Smith". That's not unreasonable surely?

Unless they are interested parties. That's is definitely quite a story re the same woman viewer and different offer prices- just as well you had a name to work it out. Or should I say, that was good of your estate agent sharing that info with you!!It is the Seller (me) that will ultimately pay the EA's bill when (if) the house is sold.0
