When should my child view the house we are buying?

We didn't take any of our four kids to view the house we are in the process of purchasing. I would love a second viewing with them, the younger two are on the spectrum and the smallest is particularly stressed about the idea of moving and it would probably help. Our vendors are moving abroad and I was hoping the house was empty. But they are still in atm,and it doesn't seem a great idea for all six of us to traipse around a lived in house that may yet fall through. If it was normal times we would have taken them already.
We are nearing the end of it all now and hope to exchange within the next few weeks, so fingers crossed it won't be too long now. At no time were they consulted on the house, but we did take what we needed as a whole family into consideration when drawing up our needs and wants list.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉0 -
I’d show them it when the move is almost final. Then there is less chance of disappointment for him/her when they find out they are not actually moving. When I last moved (aged 7) I saw the house when our stuff was being put in (but we had lived in it once before - long story).0

Slightly off topic but our 18 month old had 2 terrible nights sleep just before we moved in July- her room (/our office) and the rest of the house was gradually being packed up and I think she knew something was happening. After she spent moving day at the grandparents she came to the new house and saw her toys in the corner. It was as if all the boxes suddenly made sense and she has loved it ever since.
She came to most of the viewings (including the houses we rejected) but but was around 1 at the time so not really aware of what was happening.0
