Hello again.....
lily going to vet at half 6 today. Tried another vet yesterday and they said either emergency 24 hour one or wait for her own vet....we told the symptoms.....
she pooped a lot on Friday and a bit on Saturday so she not bunged up. She is also still quite bright. Ate better yesterday. Still feisty this morning. When I got home from work her wee bottom is very red. She been over grooming. I think pain is stopping her0 -
I have written everything down. So I don’t forget.
mid week last week husband noticed a wee lump. Back of her neck....it is small and black. I worried it was a tick so sought to remove. It wasn’t a tick. But it still there. Like a scabbed over scratch or blood blister or something0 -

My wee Lily was very sick yesterday. Had her 10 years and she has never done what happened yesterday. She threw up WHITE. Not like foamy saliva but proper white.... has anyone ever seen this? Any searches suggest gastritis......she was sick a few other times yesterday but is more settled and sleepy today. She also passed a couple of wee Malteser Pellets in the box yesterday but has tried a few times to poop since then to no avail.
I have given her some lactoluse and metacalm.I had her at vet 4 weeks ago with constipation. She had X-ray that ruled out back issues. Why is she suffering again. I feel the white vomit is important. She never did that before. It was scary.
any help would be gratefully received
i am worried she might have mega colon0 -

SO!! Lily had a hair all. Stuck in her bottom. As simple as that. All the visits to the tray was just her trying to dislodge. She was given a suppository afterwards to help her along but nothing much happened.......
The white vomit episode did not worry the vet either. I took photos of Lily bum before going in just in case she was hostile.....the vet studied it before going near Lil....she deduced it was something poking out......she asked Lily if it was a wee friend 😁. I asked what and she said a tiny bird or rodent but thank God it was just a hair ball.
Lily remains in a huff as I have cream to apply also. Upshot is, it is just another event. Nothing chronic. Am grateful for all help provided. It a fab resource, the MSE family5 -

Hi, this is lovely news! We adopted our kit Pashmina after we found her on the side of the road and the vet said she was around 5-6 weeks old. She had a sore eye - when it healed we discovered it was blue, she has one blue and one green eye. She also had fleas and raging hunger. We took her straight to the vet and she was given a thorough inspection, pronounced fit to adopt and then we took her home.
She's been an indoor cat ever since but she is also a cat that vomits often. After thorough examinations the vet said there was nothing wrong and recommended Lax a Past for hairballs and constipation. She's 11 now and can only tolerate wheat and grain free dry food. Anything else she throws back up. She's also done the white foam vomit and sometimes bile vomit. Not very glamorous but not life-threatening. We now give her Lax a Past regularly because she's on dry food - also lots of water - she has never been able to eat wet food without vomiting.
All cats are different though and it's scary when they get ill. We've had some really frightening (and very expensive at the vet!) moments with Pashmina but she's worth it, and we love her to pieces.
Your Lily will love you again. Once she gets over the utter indignity! Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts.
