White Vomit and constipated cat

Options
hello everyone

My wee Lily was very sick yesterday. Had her 10 years and she has never done what happened yesterday. She threw up WHITE. Not like foamy saliva but proper white.... has anyone ever seen this? Any searches suggest gastritis......she was sick a few other times yesterday but is more settled and sleepy today. She also passed a couple of wee Malteser Pellets in the box yesterday but has tried a few times to poop since then to no avail.
I have given her some lactoluse and metacalm.
I had her at vet 4 weeks ago with constipation. She had X-ray that ruled out back issues. Why is she suffering again. I feel the white vomit is important. She never did that before. It was scary.
any help would be gratefully received

Phone your vet for guidance, anyone here is only guessing.

What are you feeding her on eg dry or wet food?

I am giving her a mix of both...... does anyone have a cat with chronic constipation?
  • She is a bit more lively now. Seems hungry so I have given her some boiled chicken in water.  I have just noticed her bum swollen....is that all the straining?

Agree with urgent advice needed. She may have an obstruction, if waste cannot pass out, this can lead to vomiting in severe cases.

Your vet should have an out of hours service. I would call them for advice at the very least.

I had a cat with 'constipation'.

Please call your vet and listen to the recorded message for who to contact outside of normal hours.

Do you live in an apartment or house? Is the cat walking on the street? Perhaps someone poisoned the mice and the cat ate the poisoned mouse. It looks like poisoning. Maybe the mouse itself was pulled out somewhere not at home. Well that's a guess. If the cat does not go further at home, then you must definitely contact your veterinarian.
