I don't think it helps any to focus on one particular person or post as it seems to happen regularly; I wonder if it would be possible to have the thread moderated so the posts were checked before they were put up? (Or, if that's not possible on this board, if someone ran one elsewhere?)
Haven't read this whole thread so apologies if it's already been suggested.

Ok, I make this an average rating of 7.5 for The Bucket List - not bad!
yeah I've got 7.5625 (!) from 8 votes (makes me wish i'd seen it) - forgive me if i forgot any
lol 5 of them ended in '.5'!

I was thinking as an incentive to vote, I'll try to thank every post with one in, maybe?
That way it'll be easier to see where I've overlooked a vote?
Anyway thank you all for your votes, and to those who've helped encourage voting!

And I do hope you will make proper spreadsheets and all, LOL! And for the record, I do not think moderating the tickets thread is a good idea as it would mean delayed posting of proper codes if every post has to be checked before it is allowed on.
    Reclaimed thanks to this site:
£175 Abbey Mortgage Repayment Fee, £170.03 Capital One Bank Charges £418.07 Lloyds TSB Bank Charges, £2,671.55 Mis-sold Endowment Policy, all for OH

I agree that the moderating posts wouldn't work. I'm a moderator on a forum and we sometimes set this up, especially if there is a spate of spammers, but with screenings we need to know asap

  • I don't know if this is possible, but perhaps every new post is written in a template?
Y'know like when you fill out your details on a website so there's spaces for name, address, etc?
For this it could be something like

    Film _________
    Film Description ___________
    Code __________
    Weblink ____________
    Locations __________
    ___________
    _____________
    _________
    Date _________
    Time ________

I'm confident this would remove the vast majority of non-code posts, plus it would make reading the codes easier for us! it'd just need formatting by an MSE tech, if you and the MODs agree...
hurm perhaps if the posts were already pre-shaped, it wouldn't be too hard to then give us the option to sort the codes by date, film name, etc
It could be pretty awesomely organised ;)

Is that possible the template thing?
Peeps would skip to the end and put their chat in there.
I think we should have a known policy for regular users, we could thrash this one out amongst us.
Personally I can see it is easy for newcomers to make a mistake and post chat in there, so it doesn't bother me.
If it bothers you perhaps a friendly pm that its in the wrong place rather than a public telling off posted in the wrong thread with the "I'll delete this" thing.
I thought it was good when the moderator posted a reminder of what the tickets only thread is about. Maybe this could be reposted every few days when they are clearing out the other stuff, you know questions, rants etc.
Well there is my tuppence worth.
This thing has cropped up in the past and its a shame for people who are sharing their finds to fall out. I hope this post hasn't offended anyone, sometimes the tone doesn't come across.
Free tickets are brilliant!!! I don't get the chance to go to as many screenings as I would like but I love it when I do. I may not like every film but I think the chance to see them is fantastic.
I also love the way this discussion thread is becoming a great buddy club.
Just looking to save a few pennies here and there

Attended my first ever freebie preview tonight at the Odeon in Preston. So thanks to all for posting the codes.

We saw Definitely, Maybe and I'm not a rom com fan of any descipt and was basically just going because it was free. However I really enjoyed the film it was warm and funny and just what I needed to relax. Especially as the little daughter in it wasn't the sickly yank super brat I envisaged but the wacky little madam from Little Miss Sunshine, which was another great film.

    I'd give it a very healthy 8/10

Looking forward to a ncie day out in Blackpool next monday with a Bank Job preview after some fish and chips.........oooh the high life :D

I can understand peoples frustrations at non Cinema Code posts in the thread. However, when people read the title with 'No Chat', they probably don't consider a question or comment chat. Perhaps you should entitle it NO QUESTIONS, COMMENTs OR CHAT PLEASE!
