I've been trying to get two free tickets to see 'The Kite Runner' many times when finally today, thanks to Beate, I got the tickets. So tomorrow night, we're off to Odeon Greenwich for a hopefully great movie. Merry christmas Beate, Martin Lewis and the rest of you who all makes MSE a great website.
Glad to have helped! We are going tomorrow to the Odeon Greenwich too, I would say hello if I knew how to recognize you! Send me a PM if you want to say hi, we usually get there for about 6pm.Reclaimed thanks to this site:

Its coming up to the end of the year so i think we should have a vote! Name the two best films you saw free thru seefilmfirst etc, the first worth 2 points and the second 1 point. We'll add em up to see the MSE favourite!
1. Control
2. Darjeeling
what about you guys?
I have only started doing this full tilt from end of October and just came back from my seventh film, so not too much to choose from, but 1. will be Enchanted and 2. PS I Love You, although who knows, The Kite Runner might just top it.Reclaimed thanks to this site:

We just came back from a screening of Enchanted, and I thought it was brilliant fun. The screening was about 99% full, the fullest I have ever seen it. Lots of kids, and I never knew how much little kids need the toilet! Constant to-ing and fro-ing. The film was very well received, there were some real laugh-out-loud moments. Best 20p I have spent in a while!Reclaimed thanks to this site:

Ooooh! That's difficult. Just 2 and then the interpretation of BEST !
Especially comparing comedy v foreign v true story v drama v action v factual v horror v etc ...
A list in no particular order - just as I remember them
Hot Fuzz
Run Fat Boy Run
Stardust
Disturbia
Atonement
The Kingdom
Elizabeth - The Golden Age
Rendition
Kite Runner
Enchanted
Death At A Funeral
The Darjeeling Limited
Die Fälscher (The Counterfeiters)
Miss Potter
28 Weeks Later
Superbad
Knocked Up
.... and I'd guess that's less than half the films I've seen free this year.
If I think of others then I'll add to the list but as it stands .....
a top 3 - again in no order - Hot Fuzz, Stardust and Death at a Funeral

A big thank you and a very merry Christmas to all those that post cinema offers - they are very much appreciated. Here's to another year of free cinema! :xmassmile :T0 -
1- notes on a scandal
2 - stardust
sorry to copy you happy shopper but great minds think alike!!0 -
No problem - not your fault they were both fab films!0

hurm so far American Gangster and, thanks to the two most recent posts, Notes on a Scandal are our favourites with 4 points each.
I paid to see American Gangster, and it was excellent - though i thought it could've been better if crowe and washington had come across each other earlier than the end.
bathgatebuyer, i really enjoyed hands too, except i didnt much like the chavs! they were all rather selfish, or fake-selfless! apart from one certain character who was at least honest enough to unpopularly say that he wanted one of the flights! i liked him
quoia, should i allocate your three points evenly between those three, or would you rather pick two? (btw omg! from september i vowed myself i'd go to as many of these as i could, but your proficiency is amazing! n1!)Haikus are easy
But sometimes they don't make sense

Hi all, I must say they are really pushing "Kiterunner", I have had different codes sent to me every day for the last 4 days. Has anyone seen it? And if so what did you think of it?:smileyheaMagenta0

I'll be honest and say I sat trying not to let anyone else see me crying at the end. I thought it a brilliant story - good to see a bunch of guys with a talent trying to get off their backsides and do something brilliant with their lives. The scene at the Airport at the end just cracked me up :rotfl:It was miles ahead of PS I Love You which was my Number 2, but only because Gerry Butler's pretend irishness put me right off! He's from blinkin' Paisley (see, I'm not too good with the whole make believe thing!)Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0
