when you guys were out there watching TSC last night, I was at the o2 watching Afrika Afrika
firstly I want to comment that it was my first time at o2 and I expected more from it especially when I went there when it was The Millennium Dome....o2 should make more use of it...definately put more high street shops or some other form of attraction!
anyways back to the show.......I thought it will have one storyline but it was actually made up of many little performances......some acts reminded me of when I watched The Chinese Circus @ Blackheath lolzexcept the acts in this one were crazier! overall I would give it 6.75/10 but a few acts alone I would give it 8 or 9/10 because I was like EWW and WOW
I would never have paid £19 (cheapest) to watch it.....not when I got it for free  ......the plastic seats sucked!
I think my cousins enjoyed it and I had fun[Member #28 in Free Film Previews Club - 7 Films seen in 2008 ] [ 1 Films seen in 2009] :cool:0 -

Unfortunately you just have to keep trying & hopefully someone from Afrika thread have tics they can't go. I offered my tics on 10th March for 11th March nite coz I've seen & friends couldn't go, but my post got deleted by forum moderator. I was told they don't want ppl offering tics there coz it's not a long term freebie thread like the screenings one. Honestly, even if I have tics now, I'm "scared" to post it there.
Keep trying & don't give up!0 -
I managed to get tickets to see The Orphanage tonight from Myfilms.com but I was just wondering what their motivation to do pre screenings and offer free tickets is. Is it mainly for the Press and media to attend or will I be given a survey to fill out at the end?
I know some films are shown to gauge an audiences reaction but I think this film is on general release next week which would be too late for them to make any changes to it.0 -
The only surveys I've ever filled in are the See Film First ones which I do by choice. My understanding of these free films is that it's cheaper than TV advertising to give away a few freebie screenings and then hope it starts some word of mouth advertising. When I left the Juno screening they were handing out little cards saying something like 'if you've enjoyed this film, tell your friends.' It also had some sort of 'juno club' you could join for goodies/ info etc.0
