well i was a little disappointed with the orphange - i was expecting a horror film - i'd call it a ghost/supernatual film. also i had no idea it was in spanish and would be subtitled. i did enjoy it though i would rate it a 6.
i hope they issue more tickets to see the cottage at different venues.
well this was the last of my freebies so Beate - please dust out those drawers and see whats rattling around in there - ha ha- I came, I saw, I conquered :j

OK got back from The Cottage at Wood Green (a bit far out for me, but you do this type of stuff when the movie is free, my regular would have to be Greenwich Odeon or Vue) and i would have to say the film was pretty decent, not what i expected from the poster, as i didn't read any reviews or even watch the trailer before the movie. It was a British comedy/horror flick, with alot of black humor. Would give it a ermmm 6.5/10Member No. 20 of the "104 free previews in 2008" club! Seen round about 21 so far0

I went to see the Spiderwick Chronicles last night and thought it was great, was a little bit scary in parts but thought some of the film was quite magical.0

LOL, if you thought the Spiderwick Chronicles were scary, you should definitely not go and see The Orphanage!Reclaimed thanks to this site:

THE COTTAGE
FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT, SUPERB!
The first half is a very funny comedy, the second half a real horror movie.
There is blood and gore and shocks but it is done so humourously that you are still laughing.
I can't recommend any film more highly than this as a "see it" even if you have to pay !!!
I hope everyone that saw it tonight DID WAIT UNTIL THE CREDITS FINISHED ROLLING !!!
Otherwise you MISSED THE END. Or the "FIN?"Best film (most enjoyable) I've seen in years
ELEVEN out of TEN !
Yep 11/10 !!!
I saw this last night as well and would agree with most of the above, though would have put it more a 7/10.
Unfortunately after the abrupt ending everyone got up and left, what did I miss at the end quoia? Could you pm me with the missed bit as I am curious as to whether that would have upped my rating.
Thanks0 -
Having read that there is another print-out to get tickets with for Spiderwick Chronicles for tonight, I know now why the Odeon Greenwich had these masses of tickets for tonight's screening. Unless there is a run on them this morning, I should think people will be ok just turning up tonight.
(And no, I shan't go again, I need a night off!)

Very comfortable indeed. The cinema was about one third full and the movie is what I would describe as a horror comedy, or shall we call it a 'horcom'?
The movie had a lot of black humour in between the gory scenes. Quite a few laughs from the audience including myself. Not my favorite genre but I enjoyed it nevertheless and I would give it a 7.5 out of 10.
The makers of the film added a 30 second scene, AFTER the credits had finished, so don't leave the cinema when the credits start rolling.
I must add the the cinema showed commercials and trailers before the start of the movie, unusual for free previews.
was at bluewater also- would agree with the 7.5/10, thought it was worth the watch.Duct tape is like the force. It has a light side, a dark side, and it holds the world together."

I was at Bluewater too. Missed the bit after the credits though, because we upped and left - would appreciate a PM with the gist of the ending if anyone knows please!0
