And for those doubters - how could you not like the inspired camoflage boiler suits gag?

I will acknowledge the humour of the camoflage suit and its attention to detail- but not really much else to say- and the fact that climbing into an electricity sub-station resulted in a hilarious( ) situation- not sure about that.

  • Still waiting for a code to come up for TOBG in Hull.
  • clearly there are very few gondry fans on this board. the man is a genius! as for the electrocution part - lighten up, the film is not meant to be taken as a serious plot. plus its rated 12A. all gondry films have a level of suspension of disbelief in them. its quirky and funny and is a film about heart. it is not gondry's best work but his imagination and flair for creativity definitely shows through the film. i can't see how anyone thought it wasn't funny or watchable. some parts were hilarious! the film got a good response at my cinema, lots of people laughing and enjoying it.

That is why different sorts of films are made as everyone has a different opinion, I felt the film was ok funny in some areas not in others-many people in my screen laughed in some places, but several walked out saying what a pile of s**t. I wouldn't say he is a genius but that is because I am not a great fan of gondry's films. I'm sure no one thought the electrocution part was a serious plot as quite obviously had it been serious he would have died rather than be magnatised. I must admit I didn't think about this element untill Mcallister1's post earlier- and I think he explained himself clearly so to say to "lighten up" is perhaps a little strong.
