I think you should open tomorrow's and the day after as well DB .

I'm feeling stressed. Well more  to be honest and its making myhead hurt.

Other than when we went on holiday in March I haven't had an evening out with my OH all year. He basically side steps all possibilities of going out with me anywhere.

So, I said last week that as I won't have any Christmas parties to go to (now I work from home) how about we go out for dinner to one of the Chinese £10 a head buffet type places. He kind of half heartedly mumbled 'ok' and when I said I'd book a table he said 'well as long as it isn't on the same night as when I'm out' (conveniently he doesn't know when they are)

So I booked a table yesterday for next Wednesday. I thought, the nights he normally goes out on for the companies he does work for are a Friday or Saturday nearer Christmas. Told him this morning as he was leaving that I'd booked a table and you'd think I told him I'd booked the church. He looked terrified and walked towards the car saying 'we'll see'. I said very calmly and sweetly 'well don't worry if it's on the same night as when you're going out, I'll change it, there's plenty of availability and you can't be going out EVERY night'..........

I am now going  in my head because I know he will get !!!!!y about it. If he coincidentally has to go out next Wednesday I'll just say - no problem, I'll change the booking. I am determined that we are going out together just the once this year.

    Men..............

Thanks for your posts yesterday, I was feeling a bit uuuggghhhh, but things are a bit brighter this morning. I tell you what's odd though, and I'm sure this is the same for loads of us. But, when I decided to quit for a bit, I felt a bit lost, like I didn't know who I was or what to describe myself as, does that make sense? I suppose so much of our identity is tied up with what we do, it feels a bit strange to not have that.

Loads of people define themselves in what they do - so you're not alone in that. Now you'll just have to be a mother your kids can't bear to be rid of.

Oh, silly me - you're that already. Now you just have to believe it.

I'm stuck in a really bad day, that's also quite a good day, all at the same time.

Thanks to my DH's overspending at the weekend, we now have £30 to last us for the rest of the month. That has to include petrol, food and yep, Christmas Dinner

How the hell are we going to manage that

The good part is that I handed in my college work this morning, so my course is finished :j
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches

    Bl**dy DVLA and DSA!!!

I passed my driving test 4 weeks ago to the day. I rang up last week as I still hadn't received my driving licence through. They had a look and said they hadn't even been informed of my test pass or received my licence from the DSA Test Centre. So I gave her all the details of when and where I took my test and who my examiner was etc. and she said to ring back today if I hadn't heard anything. So I rang back and they STILL haven't had confirmation from the DSA that I passed my test

I basically have been told to wait as there is nothing the DVLA can do until the DSA confirm everything. I want my licence!

Have to confess Toto I did run the lines through my head 'oh, that's ok if you can't make it, I'll go with someone who can'........and just leave it there ;)

Also - one of his stocking filler pressies is a pair of battery operated drum sticks - they arrived today - I could pass them on to you for when you turn up?!
