    I love it! :D

Stu would like that advent calendar.....although it's perhaps a good job he hasn't got one, as I would have been tempted to smash the whole lot over his head today.

Aaaaanyway :o how's everyone today? Natasha is having a nap in her pram - I had to literally RUN to school with Ryan today because we were so late, and I think being bounced around so much sent her off to sleep (or perhaps knocked her unconscious...). So I'm having a peaceful few minutes, doing clicks, sorting internet banking and catching up on here.

    Ahhhhhh......peace and quiet..........:)

Nice to see I can actually get on the site and post today

Good start to the day - cleared the £271.40 on my barclaycard which I used for my online xmas shopping so no interest to pay :D It is so nice to be able to use a credit card like this and pay it off straight away for 0%. Plus I just paid another £150 off my overdraft :D:D:D

Happy tax credit wednesday IA :rotfl:

Now that's what I call an Advent Calender. Can I have one please?

Dull & damp in Blackpool...has just started raining - after I decided to be healthy & walk to work

Have you decided on all the girl's pressies, I-A? I'm glad my 2 are allegedly grown-up, it's Waterstones vouchers for them! But I did relent & buy them some Jelly Belly's in TK Maxx yesterday, £2.99 for a normally-£4.99 bag!

    Morning all!

Congrats Mrs S on wiping out 150 pounds of your OD, they are such annoying things and I cant wait until mine is a thing of the past and when I spend cash its actually my cash I am spending and not the banks!
I paid off my third debt yesterday evening:j my 600 sofa is now actually all mine! Its an odd thought to think I have been sitting on a sofa that belongs to Blackhorse Finance for the last year:confused: But at least it was interest free.

I like the advent piccy but it would be far better if it was made up of bottles of wine and Baileys :D

morning everyone. Not in work today - am in a lab having glucos tolerance tested every 15 minutes as part of the scientific research! the blood tests aren't that bad - drinking the largest glass of lucozade was! And still no cup of tea!!!

Thankfully, I don't have to do any cognitive tests today, so I can surf the 'net in between blood tests! Facebook is getting a few hits from me today.

    Hope you're all well.

  • well done on the sofa debt shiney ;)

Yes, overdrafts are annoying. It never bothered me before now as we have lived in the overdraft for 4 years, but last week it kind of clicked that I needed to treat this as any other debt and get rid once and for all. It will be gone by the end of January. Have budgeted to pay off £400 in total this month.

Mrs S - that's really good about the overdraft. Wayne had his overdraft and even when his wage went in he never cleared the OD; but his bank were charging him something like 25% interest which was slightly more than his credit card interest! It was really liberating to know that debt had gone!

I have been overdrawn since I was 18, 9 years ago:eek: So far I have knocked it down from 2.5k to 1.5k but I was advised that to make remortgaging easier I should pay off my sofa and then my cc before I carried on clearing my od. So it will have to wait, but hopefully not for too long.

I worked out yesterday that since I joined this site earlier this year I have paid back 2944 pounds worth of cc,od and loans. It would be nice to get another 66 to pay off my cc before Xmas to round it up. Its mad when you think like that as had I have saved that much I would be jumping for joy- ok mainly because I would be deciding where to go on my hols :o
