  • Hi SevenOfNine and CRISPIANNE3,
I have lots of unused Cineworld tickets too (from ones they extended when the Pandemic first stated and then the normal year's allocation one). They say they expire 31st May 2021 but they don't actually work at all. I have contacted Club Lloyds but have had no response.
Can I please ask you both, when you spoke with Lloyds, did you speak to Lloyds Bank customer service or to Club Lloyds?
    Thank you.

Phone {not email} Club Lloyds and they will deal everything for you. However I have in the past directly complained to Lloyds via their complaints online form and have found that works as well. Good luck!

I called them and they told me Cineworld tickets were only extended to the end of March no later. They told me my Odeon tickets expiring next month were extended to the end of July. It is the same vouchers with same codes and expiry and they told me to ignore the expiry date shown. Does this sound right?

I can only quote my own experience but I have some Vue vouchers and they were due to end 16 June but they advised me to ignore this date as they have been extended to 31 July.  So based on what you were told seems about right.

never happened before with these vouchers!
No, I have booked 4 tickets (on 2 separate films) with these codes that were extended until the end of May and did not have to pay any booking fee at all.

    That's for Vue and Odeon:

"If you have unused Vue or ODEON Cinema Tickets that were due to expire between March 18th 2020 and July 30th 2021, your codes have now been extended until Saturday 31st July 2021. Simply use your existing codes to book online or take them along to your Cinema to redeem. "

Apologies, only just seen this. I spoke initially to Club Lloyds, she was only authorised to swap my old Cineworlds for Odeons, so offered to pass my problem to Lloyds Customer Service. They exceeded my expectations TBH, quite fast to contact me. 2 tickets used & £52 for the remaining 4.....which we also used, just like he said I could if there was anything we wanted to see before the extended expiry of 31 May.

If you have been unable to use yours I'd go straight to Lloyds customer services, not everyone can visit Cineworld multiple times, ours started showing films on 21st (not 19th) so we only had 10 days, no problem, 3 films we were happy to see & retired so plenty of time.
Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.

Cineworld may extend the voucher eligibility dates but given their huge debt pile I would not be confident sadly they will ever reopen - James Bond or no James Bond.

Kind of hoping Bond will be on Amazon Prime, heard that was the plan earlier anyway.  But still sad to see cinemas like this closing down.

Cineworld have reopened nearly all sites… and restructured some debts, they aren’t out of the woods yet but they aren’t closing down or close at the moment I wouldn’t say.

Bond won’t go to Prime. Ron have 50% of the rights and seem for the most part to be in control of almost everything. Box office revenue trumps streaming for such a film I would wager and they are strictly theatrical based.
