I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

Disgraceful , some of those Welsh courts are abysmal , the Equality Act applied , not the blue badge3

This is so disgusting. What a way to treat a veteran. What was the judge thinking of. I think that he should appeal.

I have just emailed my MP with a link to that story and asked her to forward my email on to Rt. Hon. Robert Jenrick MP.
You would have thought that SRS would have cancelled the charge and apologised to this veteran.

My understanding here is that there would still be an option to take action against the venue and the parking company for a breach of the EA if things are done right

I did not think that SRS could sink much lower. He has sunk to new depths.

Comments littered with plenty of 'do the crime, do the time' ill-informed rubbish. In fact there are very few contributors there who know what they're talking about! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I hope that a barrister will take on an appeal for this man on a pro- bono basis.

I'm not sure on what the appeal could be based. Did the Judge err on a point of law (not point of empathy)? I think a fresh claim under the auspices of the EA2010 might be better, with VCS and the landowner jointly pursued.Snakes_Belly said:I hope that a barrister will take on an appeal for this man on a pro- bono basis. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum.
