Puppy is struggling to walk at 10 weeks

I’m so sorry for your loss. Please don’t take another puppy from this breeder, there are so many red flags, that they have another one ready so soon being the biggest.4

Someone breeding crossbreds so frequently is only doing it for money and is basically a 'puppy farm'. Don't be misled by the term 'farm'. It does not reefer to a farm as such. It is a description of someone who breeds pups for profit, not for the good of the breed.3

I wasn't sure about getting another dog from her, but by law she can either refund or replace and she has chosen to replace. If we don't go for this option we lose out.
She is registered as a business and has a few dogs, the puppy obviously isn't ready to leave and has only just been born, I think by law she can only breed one litter a year per dog. I think she is doing it for profit and and it has opened my eyes a bit into the world of dog breeding.
In terms of grieving/getting a new dog, everyone deals with it differently I suppose.. some women who miscarry/stillborn might want to try again straight away, some wait years, everyone is different. He is only a week old so weve got a good 6 weeks without one.
We have also looked into rehoming a dog before but we have 2 cats and 2 children and therefore seen as not suitable.

Overview
You must have a dog breeding licence if either:
- you run a business that breeds and sells dogs
- you breed 5 or more litters in a year and sell any of the puppies
Contact your local council to check if you need a licence or for information about costs.
As she is breeding and selling dogs have you seen her licence?
Have you seen the results of health tests on the parents?
There are rescues who will rehome to you. Each rescue has its own rules for rehoming so try others.
The rescue my two came from will consider everybody but will only rehome a suitable, assessed dog to a suitable, assessed home. All their dogs spend time in a foster home. they do not use kennels.
One of mine was a 9 week old puppy. They have taken in pregnant females so do sometimes have pups available.

Thank you for your input, I dont want to say too much on a public forum. I am more concerned than my husband, I am not entirely sure, we shall see. I appreciate your replies xx0

Also thanks for that info about rescue centres I will get in touch with a few and see what they say xx0

Also I really do not understand the desire for people to keep going to breeders when there are so many dogs at shelters desperately looking for a loving forever home. If you love dogs, you love dogs and would rehome any dog that needs a home.
Most rescue centres have ridiculous rehoming policies that make it difficult for people to adopt. This drives people to BYBs and overseas rescues unfortunately.
Reputable breeders struggle to keep up with demand and pumping them out is far from reputable too.1 -
