VW Emissions - should I sign up or wait?

I missed the boat on the group litigation and wondering if I should sign up with Bond Turner (who’ll take 50% +) or will this become like PPI and if successful eligible VW owners will be able to claim themselves with a template letter or similar? I understand there’s still a long way to go with legal proceedings...

There is no guarantee they will win. If they do not, then those signed up to the legal claim will be liable for costs.1 -

This forum is about money saving not money grabbing!
Can you tell us exactly how much you will be claiming for and exactly how you got to that sum and can you explain exactly how you have made a loss and why that amount would put you back into a position to before vw got caught out?
You do know that the only reason there is a group action is because the lawyers and solicitors all saw it as a way to make money and if they lose which they probably will you will become liable for costs which will no doubt be substantial
So I would wipe those £ signs from your eyes , cause no you will not make anything out of this and instead your finances will take a hit0 -

Do as many checks as you can on the outfit and then sleep on it and decide.
For your info we have a history of Mercedes diesel cars but are not bothering atm as we bought the cars
for what they are, IE car of many peoples dreams where our have come true so we are happy with that
As you know, only you can decide.
I hope it works out for you.

An advert appeared on my FB this morning for CheckMyCar.
Their website states "Joining the group action to make a claim will cost you nothing. This is a no win no fee claim. If we are not successful in winning the action you will not owe us anything. If we are successful, then will deduct a fee of no more than 50% of your total award. Depending on the number of claimants, how much we recover, and the overall time and effort put forth, it may even be much less than 50%."So if taken at face value, you should not be at risk of leaving yourself open to any financial liability ... unless of course they're disguising the fact that you may end up owing money to a third party.BTW, although I am eligible I don't intend to sign up, partly because there may be some hidden risk but also because I've not lost anything. In fact I may have gained financially as I pay no road tax due to my car's low-emission rating.0
