Awful weather - typical Brits talk

Came across this video of summer and sweet peas when I was making a question. It's just a lovely thing to watch with the birdsong background if anyone wants reminding of what summer looks likeThey are grown near me hidden away at the back of a village. Only the specials were for competition and he used to bunch up the rest in huge bunches for cheap sale to cover costs. Loved that. Also the black ones turned up in some seeds I bought cheap last year and they are stunning when planted with other colours.
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!
viral kindness .....kindness is contageous pass it on
The only normal people you know are the ones you don’t know very well

Thank you for the video twopenny, it certainly lifted my spirits. Made me even more determined to try some sweet peas this year.
I've got a couple of packets of mixed seeds ready to go when the weather warms up.Grocery challenge 2025: £650/1500 annual budget1 -

Dull with ice still hanging around, I may toddle round the garden just to see what's going on, nothing I suspectI had two plant catalogues arrive yesterday, postal Spam, I had a flick through them sometime, mostly as suspected Spring planting items, plug plants, amazing this that & the other promises. all expensive & TBH nothing I fancied or neededMy Hermes package also arrived, a day earlyEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens3

I remember reading about someone with a dislocated shoulder when I was a child and it sounded so painful I resolved not to get one! I hope yours is mended or mends itself soon.
My right shoulder is playing up, but I think it's related to the concrete mixing we did. Can't seem to get away with overdoing things so easily nowadays and chopping logs won't have helped either.Still weighing up my options here.....

Cold and wet here, and due to be wet all week. I've had a delivery of compost, so brought some in to warm up and have started off some seeds. Ancient lettuce that if it germinates I will use for baby leaves and plenty of things that I'll move to the greenhouse once they get going and I've had a chance to give it a clearout. I'm looking forward to the weather warming up and get back into the garden properly again.3

Far way and Dave, I spent most of yesterday evening and into the night at A&E. Shoulder joint put back into position, I was scared but morphine and entonox helped, now in a sling for some weeks. Ambulance crew and nurses and doctors were really kind. Husband has pointed out that neither of us is as young as we think k we are. More so me, I'm older.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back3
