Happy Easter everyone 🐣

Wow so many posts that you just land randomly when popping in!
Congratulations on your sun Paspatur, could you grab a handful and throw it this way please?
So the horizontal hailstones of yesterday looking like snow were replaced by lashing rain today. We did get the promised sun at the same time. Yes the lawn is squelching so my planned tidy went awol.
We have our resident garden expert and greenhouse back in morrisons, she does a great job. I came away with trellis and more box plants. Aparantly a large delivery expected so I kept away. I can't trust myself.
I'll join the pillpopping group. My probs have been making themselves well and truly. I put it down to not enough gardening.
I put my tulip bulbs in soil instead of pots this year to save on compost. I can just see the flowers over the hedge so not as good as pots which lifted them higher but not so much maintenance. Hmmm. Only one side has given into the slugs.
The rest of my tulips grew but haven't flowered. They may come on if the sun comes out....
Interesting seeing the difference in growth across the countries.
Arbs I remember those pipe arches. Gardeners world about 3 decades ago
They work really well because they hold the netting up properly unlike wire.I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Happy Easter everyone
Ah your daffs are a sight for sore eyes pp, and not a bite taken out of any of them
2p how about taking a wee bit off the top of your hedge, then you'd be able to see more of your tulips. And did you replace your Easter choc btw?Hopefully today you'll get some sun, or at least just not grotty. I agree about seeing the differences up and down the land. It's one of the best things about this place - how we're all different and seeing what others have got going. I'll get a pic of my forsythia in a min, mines is flowers and leaves stage.
How's all the poorlies backs and knees and variously dropping to bits today? If I spot a tumbleweed I'll have to go see what the aforementioned Decluttering Thread is like. God help me them ha haa!
OT Murky out there, misty and mellow and mild (7') and just right for autumnal fruitfullness. Windy later, they say.I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.4 -
Yes the rest of the fence will be painted today 🤞🏻I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.5

Looking good Bluey
your soil looks good too.
Grey cloud and rain.....was there ever a day when I said it wasn't? And rain forcast every day for the foreseeable. 8c ish.
I may get on with more decorating. I may keep the heating on and just lounge or anything in between.
Woke up thinking of extending my woodland area as it's looking pretty even if the pretend door has dropped and sagged. Little maple, ferns, primroses and cyclamen.. dwarf daffs gone over.
No replaced chocolate. A couple of days and it will all be half price.
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

The daffs in the front garden are lovely, although I had to crouch down to take the pic because they're all bowing their heads. Good job my back was up to it
Your Forsythia is looking good, YBE, when did you buy/plant it?? Definitely something I would like in my garden in the fullness of time.
It's looking like a nice day so far, cloudy but dry with a bit of sun. Washing is on the whirly. There's a funny looking cloud - the bottom of it is completely straight and then it's all fluffy above. Weird...'A watched potato will never chit'...4 -
Not as sunny today, French rain due later in this corner of the countryThe pic was a fern as spotted by most, just waiting to unfurl, it's a beast but grows where nowt else will so no complaints.pink_poppy said:Aye, I'd say fern too - had loads in the garden when we first moved in and they were a swine to get out.
My back has felt better today, thanks. I've been using anti-inflammatory gel and that seems to have helped more than the painkiller (the one beginning with cod). Hope your back is okay, Farway. I was moving sacks of peat on Monday and I think that's what triggered mine.Lovely daff pic BTW, no crouching for me and my back. I have a camera with a flippy back screen, so it makes those low angle pics much easier.twopenny said:Woke up thinking of extending my woodland area as it's looking pretty even if the pretend door has dropped and sagged. Jokette, another mislabelbut T & M did refund in full

That’s lovely, Farway ❤️ Annoying that you didn’t get what you ordered though.
I saw this dangling off my neighbour’s guttering when I was hanging the washing out this morning - it looks like a big furry caterpillar 😂

Wow that's a gorgeous colour Farway! If you don't want it can I have it?
Pops I thought about those caterpillar things but surely you have to get them out and clean them every year? My neighbour has white ones which seems crazy. It's to match his guttering don't yo know.....I'm watching and waiting.
My internet went off. We have thousands of visitors piled into the area so with all them and their children on it seems to have crashed. They've put cables everywhere at great expense but no idea if we're on it.
Dusty there's a talk on greencombe gardens next week at the nearby village hall. I hope to goodness it's illustrated otherwise it could be very boring.I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

It's only been in since last year pp, and it's the same size as when I bought it except the long bits are a bit longer (hence the string round a bamboo cane to try to get it into something less straggly).
Yep half price if you hold on 2pI'll be out buying it by the armful cos himself has such a sweet tooth. Well he has the palette of a 10 year old tbh
fingers crossed for your internet too.
Seems there's a lot of mislabeling going on eh, good on ya getting a refund Farway. It wouldn't be a struggle looking at that beautiful amaryliss all day though imo, that's such a beautiful colour
The murk finally lifted and it's sunny but cold here so I'm cracking on with seeds...I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.4
