Posting before I trundle ff to Dr, this is one of last year's birthday presents. Regale lily, first time flowering, it has loads of flower heads and best bit they seem to avoid lily beetles, maybe because of the thin leaves? It does have scent, but not as strong as I remember from my childhoodAdded bonus of free pollen beetleEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens7

YoungBlueEyes said:Library did not go according to plan, Dusty all but nailed it. My single simple question remains unanswered. Well she did kinda give me an answer in the end just to get rid of me - it’s developers, what you gonna do love *sigh + shrug*Your council's website will have all the planning applications and related documentation. For those who create an account, mine will send alerts for any changes or decisions related to a particular property. That's one part of the system which does work quite well.Front roadside grass mowed and strimmed. We followed the principles of 'no mow May' with 'Can't be arrised now it's so long June!'

That’s my issue. The docs I read on my council website do not match what I’m watching them do from my garden…I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.2

OT. Still overcast and breezy. Lunch accomplished. I'm off for my 'mature person' nap now."There is no such thing as a low-energy rich country." Dr Chris Martenson. Peak Prosperity4 -
Been a long and busy day of mostly pleasurable things and trying to wind down.
No gardening done but debris removed ready to start again tomorrow.
Time went listening to other peoples health dilemnas - 3 to date and one who's going to phone tonight so 4 in total which means I didn't deal with mine.
Plan, remove massive blackberry stems from badger run, cut and weed there, dig and plant the thngs not needed in the garden, trim trees.
Like that's going to happen in a day. Perhaps it's easier than I think
Blue, that laughing emogie that turns to depression - try a space before, a space after and a return. That's a workaround for today......I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Here's a tip - don't write a lovely post then go back a page to check something because your post will disappear! It's never as good the second time either. Hrrmph.
I made a decision re the planning thing while I was out walking this morning. I'm gonna wait til the Oracle comes back from her mini-break tomorrow and set her on it. I think they're squiggling extra flats in there and I'm sure there was nothing about velux windows. I've got photos (thanks Dusty). I think this be beyond even the Oracle's powers but we'll see.
Gawd you make me feel idle 2p! I wouldn't get half the stuff done you do, especially not in the heat.
Don't be putting yourself at the back of the queue for health dilemmas - like they say on planes "attach your own oxygen mask first before helping others".
I was in Aldi yesterday and there was a basket of Peace lillies. Beautiful colours so I lifted one. I'd never normally have a lily (granny/mum always said lillies are for death) but I thought I'd risk this one. Pic in a min.
OT 20' here already but the dawn was a bit prettier than they have been recently. Pink clouds in a true blue sky. I forgot to take my phone with me when I went for a walk. Naturally. Both the drunkards and the sobers reckon it'll be a hot one today but not as hot as tomorrowLooks like I'll be getting a lot of reading done : D

Here’s my …umm… Peace lily. Beautiful colour though and only £2.25 😊And here’s the wosname you like Farway, the first flower opened yesterdayI removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.6

Very pretty lilly
Cloudy and breezy here so going to try and get the rampant blackberry cut, the trellis on the top of the fence up and stuff in soo my pics won't be as pretty.. i think that blackberry is going to have to go.
Good doings on the building front. I wait with interest.
Ok so back to bed with breakfast and my exercises. I didn't do them yesterday but seemed to do a lot of standing listening to peoples health problems. 4 horror stories in total. I definitively need some home time today.I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

I envy you that. I never been able to go back to bed, when I wake up I get up. Himself is like you though - he'll get up and do all sorts then go back up with a cuppa tea, drink it while reading maybe and then fall asleep again
I'll update re the building when I've got something concrete to say.. I'm half expecting the Oracle to make a couple of phone calls and the school to be returned to it's previous state by next weekend :fingerscrossed:
Yeah my 'lily' is lovely innitI think the staff just thought "oh I'll stick these on that shelf, better than leaving it empty" and forgot to change the price label thing.

Oh it's not a talent Blue, it's for exercises and because for a few years I couldn't stand in the morning for the pain and other stuff bought with it. If I'm gentle with myself to start I can do the other stuff. I'd rather be out walking by the sea at this time of year.
Determined to get better if I can. Too many people just give up and let their lives get small. Farway probably knows what I mean.
If there's something you want you have to get up and make it happen.
Exactly what your quote says
Off to dump the kitchen compost, tidy up so it looks something like a home, put the fly curtain back that fell down for the second time and made me think burgulars were breaking in last night and such then get out there and show the blackberry who's boss!
Return for lunch in bed and exercises, glass of wine for medicinal purposes only and off we go again.
Town is full of drunken tourists and the week is already full so 2 days to make a difference.
Wish someone else would do the garage tidying though. I need a helpful gennie.
