Either of your seeds some sort of brassica YBE?
Dave, did someone not tighten or overtighten a nut or two. Think the mower should be returned to the fixer, for them to fix, if it's only lasted hours. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing3 -
Nah not brassica RAS, the only food ones I bought were lettuces, rocket and radishes....
I've decided against rescuing the baby bird, because there's 3 of them down now. If I started interferring the house would be knee-deep in the poor wee sods !
And I agree about the mower going back. If you'd been ragging the erse off it for 6 months that'd be one thing. But a couple of go's on it for a few hours total? No way Pedro.I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.2 -
YBE, rocket and radishes are brassicas.
If you check your packets, which have been opened? If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing4 -
Ah sorry, I thought brassicas were broccoli and cauli etc
I've all sorts of opened packets. I had a bit of a planting session so they were all bought and opened and planted at the same time. No matter.I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.1 -
I'd guess rocket on those - both radish and rocket are very fast to germinate, but radish cotyledons (first baby leaves) are usually bigger - you'll know for sure when they're both up!

That's all very well if the seed packets were labelled properly in the first place - I grew some Rainbow Beetroot last year which turned out to be Rainbow Chard4 -
Lovely rose 2P, nice when things turn out to be as planned. What a PIA with the mower Dusty, maybe it's just one of those things, like cars conking out a day after MOTSun is on its way out, very cold wind though. I went up to water the volunteer pots this morning, although the main purpose was Podiatrist. Not sure when Chiropodist become podiatrist but there you go, moving with the timesYBE hope the cat / bird situation gets happily resolved, a worrying time of year right now. I can add nothing to the mystery seeds, but I have one coming up in a pot, nothing I sowed, but I have my eye on itOn the noxious chemicals we used to waft around, was anyone else subjected to vigorous applications of Thawpit applied to tar stained legs? I loved the smell of it. Having checked it just now, it seems I was sucking in lungfuls of CTCs but it does not injure delicate fabrics, so it must be safe to use on young boys thenHere's the volunteer patch orchid growing in the grass. Had to use mobile phone camera so not as sharp as I'd like It's our only one, but given time could spread I guessEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens8

Farway, you've reminded me, I've got two mystery plants growing in the strip down the side of the front path. Any help with an ID?
The first I thought was a lavender, but it's now nearly 3ft tall and no scent to the leaves when crushed so no idea. Only the one stem. The second is a little thing, maybe 10cm.
I'm not an early bird or a night owl; I’m some form of permanently exhausted pigeon.1
