Your dusk photo is lovely, Dusty (I nearly typed your dust photo is lovely, Dusky
)
Hope the dishwasher gets fixed at the weekend, Farway.
Happy dance... Happy dance... I saw a kingfisher this morning when I was out for a walk. It darted out from some bushes and scooted over the lochDH and I last saw one there about 3 or 4 years ago, so it made my day to see another one today.
It's been a gorgeous day so far - two lots of washing on the whirly - I can't remember the last time I could hang washing outside. Sunny and breezy - a perfect drying day...'A watched potato will never chit'...8 -

Another great picture Poppy, yes the lighter mornings, and longer days are great, clocks will be changing soon and then Spring will here at last, and on that thought I'll join you with a yippeeIn the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces7 -
Doh, you’ve got mail, I should have got that 🙄😂
Forgot to say I saw my first bee of the year this afternoon - buzzing away in the sunshine 🐝'A watched potato will never chit'...8 -
Happy first day of Spring again folks
It's deffo Spring-like round here now, there's wee daffs and primroses and snowdrops and crocuses all over the place. Not in my garden mind, but I see them when I'm out walking  The sun's shown his face a few times too, and there's definitely a bit of heat in it. Yesterday was the first day we had 2 UV's so it's all heading in the right direction
I did my first bit of gardening the other morning - probably the least amount of work you can do and still reasonably call it gardening, but I'm still counting it. I've a load of pots tucked under the fence for the protection but we were due a splash of rain so I moved my myrtle out onto the grass cos it likes rain. Well it was a beggar to lift so I thought the roots had come through the pot into the soil. So I gave it a twist and a yank and guess why it was resisting...?
I'd sat it over a bulb! FGS. But how about that for the power of bulbs eh. I shouldn't have bothered my erse cos then we got a frost and now look at it
Here is this week's absolutely free but absolutely made up story that is not legal advice. Etc. Apparently there are removal companies out there that have redesigned the charging system. You don't book a Moving Day any more - up until 12pm it's one price, then they charge hourly after that! No your solicitor cannot make you seller refund you, nor will they give you the money themselves as ‘goodwill’ (!) If you’ve signed a contract that says you’ll pay £160ph for them to sit looking at you, then it’s on you to pay it. It's a disgrace that these things have to be pointed out but there you go *sigh*
I've forgotten what everyone's written now. Your plum blossom is very cheering 2p, beautifully framed in your window tooIs your fence post man charging plenty then? Would your neighbour split the cost with you or is it the ..ahem.. neighbour's side? I'm absolutely with you on contentment over happiness Dusty. I love your sky pics, aren't the colours lovely. Woo hoo on your seeds and dahlias Farway, and good luck with the bendy gc's
Your panoramas are stunning Luna, such a contrast with the weather. You can almost feel how clear the air is in the first one. I know you've put pics up but I still need to ask - what's a keyhole bed taff..? Woo hoo for kingfishers and getting your washes out pp
Did @ArbitraryRandom fall down the back a flower bed...? Come back Arb! I need closure on the acetone'd tatties
I've a wash on and as soon as it's done I'm off out. Apparently my jalopy is only worth £50 for the scrap, shipbags. Well it's worth more than that for the petrol that's in it so me and my lead foot are off up to Scarborough for a wander on the beach and a lemontop
OT it reckons to be cloudy all day, and maybe it will be when the sun goes in. Did any one see/get pics of the parade last night..? I went out for a look but I think I only saw a couple or maybe three planets, and I'm not even sure I know which ones they were. Naturally.I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.9 -

Spotting kingfishers and dippers here isn't impossible, but getting a picture of one.....that's something else entirely.

It was heavier than yours, but not 5 times heavier!I'd ring around. Locally, I could only get £190, but an hour's drive for £60 was worth it.
Whatever you blanched with a pot will probably recover later. And yes, always read the T&C whatever it is. Not knowing their own T&C cost the conservatory company thousands when we fell out with them.
Mind you, I only read them carefully when they thought they had us by the ghoulies!

There is something out there, beyond the J and K-pop!
Closer to home, it's another frosty start and the sunshine'e burnt that off already. Yesterday, I christened the propagator with some self-collected 2018 chilli seed and prayed for Father Time to be kinder than he was to Farway's peas!Apart from still only seeing 3 planets last night, the only other thing of note in terms of alignment was observed when I let the hens out. It's not often they arrange themselves so that all can be seen!OK, the grey one, far right, didn't cooperate!Very tempted to post a 'far right' meme, but in view of 'circumstances' I've decided to let discretion be the better part of valium.

Very frosty, but bright sunshine & blue sky. My plum blossom has the right idea on not opening just yet.Just a quick pop in, bendy DGC is due soon, with DS, to get under the worktop & tackle the dishwasher drain pipeDustyevsky said:Yesterday, I christened the propagator with some self-collected 2018 chilli seed and prayed for Father Time to be kinder than he was to Farway's peas!OK, now my new offer peas have arrived I will try yet again this weekendI did sow some of my on offer new chilli & peppers yesterday into the propagator. My dwarf dahlia replacement seeds arrived yesterday, so I've sown a block of cells, 20 I think. Damn my lovely economical Swift, I've still over half a tank despite my new lead foot. Grrr. I've bought myself another Galileo bobbin from the RNLI shop
Also saw a Bee Bum and a quite acceptable sitooterie
Hopefully success was had all round with inserting bendy children up chimneys under worktops, and the bit-too-far-right hens found some middle ground to be content on
Don't forget your dahlias FarwayI removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.9 -
This won't be long because I've been gardening!!!!!And shattered.Been moving daffs and crocus to make my winter/spring sitting area prettier. And then started on the Raspberry canes. Dug up and moved the strongest in a straight line giving me more room for winter veg. The soil is beautiful but the mass of stones - I'm going to get a dwarf wall sooner than later. I guess with it being so damp for so long they've risen which seems to happen.Lovely photos and great variety. That sitoorie is sm
arter than the one I photographed and will eventually put up. But the view from mine would be amazing and it's private with a stream.
Went to a dark sky area last night with neighbour. We were there for ages as the hint about being there at sunset - that took hours! But did get to see most of them including the little one on the horizon. Frankly I was underwhealmed but while there in the dark the only other people up there came over to see if we'd like a cup of tea to warm us. How nice was that.Sadly the amazing stars weren't there, milky way and such. There was a periphery of something mist like. Lady suggested it was the humidity that was hiding the stars on one side. Something to investigate. That crocus and bee is a brilliant shot BlueyHope everyone has got all the bits done they wanted to do today. I got some serious washing out and it's almost dry
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Ooh, did you get to Scarborough, YBE?? If you did, you might have seen the big versions of this… 😉Sorry, but I did laugh at your squished bulb, especially the second pic 🤣
The crocus/bee bum was good.I had zero chance of taking a pic of the kingfisher, Dusty, it was gone in an iridescent flash.
I thought your hens were paddling in water at first glance.
Hope bendy DGC managed to fix the dishwasher, Farway.
twopenny, well done on the gardening. Shame you were underwhelmed with the planets, but how nice to be offered a hot drink - the kindness of strangers 😊
We’ve been out for the day today - one of my favourite drives through Glen Orchy and then Glencoe (or Glen Coe) to Fort William. We stopped off at a place called Corpach, which is an instagrammer favourite 🙄 because of this shipwreck, with Ben Nevis in the background…I found this heart shaped stone on the beach there…We stopped at the Glencoe ski lift- watching people on that gave me the heebie jeebies 🤢 but the surrounding area is just stunning. I liked this mountain and thought it looked like a Christmas pudding with a sprinkle of icing sugar on top…I took loads more pics today, but that’ll do for now (was that a collective sigh of relief I heard) 😂
The weather was mixed - glorious sunshine and a freezing cold wind, with some spots of rain - I was regretting not bringing my woolly hat 🥶'A watched potato will never chit'...9
