I am a bit concerned about moving yet again. I like it here, but I haven't painted a wall a colour other than magnolia, gardenia or ivory in 4 years. But I have a bigger house here for a little less money per month based on 6% of the value of the house versus the rent on this. I also have the small issue of a rather large house, owned by the company, to sell elsewhere which would pay for the prospective house outright and then some. I'd need a mortgage right now, which is hardly the end of the world, considering that I pay rent anyway as well. And I've been looking for 18 months for a modest house that will actually compete with the cost of renting and provide me with the magical 'added value' which is like gold dust in this area.
Oh, and I'm a spoilt cow so I'd want it all my own way as soon as possiblee spare clear out the MFI show kitchens when I know they're going to be closing down soon
PMSL. Gloating now are we. What a wonderful life you have. You're a millionaire with a mansion. Are you a supermodel as well?
Good to see who controls the purse strings though. Not as independent as we like to make out are we?

The prices that potential buyers are willing to pay isn't going to bother me one iota because i'm not going to be selling.
If you bought as an FTB at the peak you would be creaming your knickers watching your deposit disappear each month and ultimately resulting in negative equity leaving you trapped for years to come. Can you imagine how sick you would feel when a few years down the line you are watching others pick up similar house to yours for half the price?
You are talking absolute horse !!!!.0 -
me thinks op is somewhat bitter
having taken 4 years to buy:eek: ( ive bought and sold 4 times in 4 years) he realises if had played the market well , been prepared to move around the country as I have, bought at the right time in cheapest areas wait for thre price to rise then sell then move on to another cheap area.
He would now be in a postion of being mortgage ( or almost) free:rotfl: or sitting on a nice fat wadge:T
I sold in Hampshire, wiltshire, south wales:rolleyes: cumbria and now selling in the north east and north london in the last 6 years and touch wood ive made no errors yet:cool:

I'm not a millionaire by a long stretch. House prices stopped rising in our area after the 2004 rate increases so we've had to learn the business and the best ways to make money. We live off our earnings, like most people do, and we've been slowly building on what we arrived with. I'm not a supermodel but I'm still under 30 (only just), 5' 9" and a size 10 despite having two kids.
I'm married. I'm not independent. I'm a strong minded woman and I'm also part of a team. He's my boy. You'll also see from my last post that I have insecurities.
Still flinging insults and *laughing*? I take it you're not pretending to be a hard done by FTB anymore? Because I've been handing you the civil baton for several posts now and you're consistantly dropping it.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

You havent a clue about my situation, and equally the size of deposit that i've paid!!
And where would my deposit be dissapearing to then eh? My house will still be there.
I'd hate to feel trapped in a house, what a nightmare that would be.........oh wait, i've actually researched the area that my house is in, and also love the house too so unless i have a mental breakdown in the next 5-10 years, it's very unlikely i'm going to feel "trapped":D0 -

If my wife referred to me as "my boy" she would be straight out the door.0
