As your not being disadvantaged, this is kinda a non issue really.
Whatever any other party gets,or doesn't,when and if is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.
I'd be drawing a line under this, theres no point making a mountain out of a molehill.imho.
Dont think you should really be posting somebodys name here either tbf.
Well, as I have explained, no money at all has been paid off the cost of the installation and purchase price of these panels, there is no proof of ownership, I have no warranty, and there's forged paperwork involved.
So, I don't think I am "making a mountain out of a molehill" at all.
There is quite a few thousand pounds missing somehow, and as I've said I'm worrying that we are going to be hit with a huge bill over this.
    Thanks anyway though.

Unless you provide generation readings, or they fabricate false ones, there is no way for them to claim the ongoing FITs anyway.
Well we definitely haven't provided any readings, I'm guessing the meter that records them is in the loft with the inverter.

I submit a meter reading every quarter along with a photo, they read the meter every two years.

    Please stop posting false information...

Generation meters are capable of having a communications module put onto them (only certain make/models though such as Elsters, Iskras etc.)

This communications module will then have a sim card or similar put into them, allowing the meter readings to then be sent to a data provider. (such as meter manager, orsis etc.)

The consumption can be recorded every HH, however most of them are normally used by giving a daily output. These readings then can be accessed from a portal provided by the data provider... allowing you to obtain the meter readings without physically reading the meter.

OP has said the meter is in the loft, which is normal for the AMR set ups because they need to be higher up to ensure the readings can be obtained by the data provider (similar logic to cell phones...)
  • Been a while, sorry, and thanks loads for the information.
I have had contact from the company that actually pays out the FIT, they are questioning what agreements or paperwork I have for the FIT and also how many times anyone has been out to inspect or check the install, meter etc.
I've contacted OFGEM and BEIS looking for help but as yet no reply (3 weeks)

I'm not sure why you would have the paperwork for the FIT payments if they are not your panels.  I assume the company that owns then (or claims to own them) has the paperwork.
The export meter should be checked every couple of years, to make sure the readings aren't being made up.  But there may be alternative arrangements for ones that phone home with their readings.  Apart from that, nobody is required to inspect anything.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

They don't own the panels, they just receive FIT payment as per the agreed contract. The original company I dealt with is supposed to have paid a percentage towards the panels, allowing them to retain FIT payments unless I buy that off them.

However I now know that this never happened. So they have gained the FIT payments fraudulently.
No payments have been made against the panels or installation, there's no proof of ownership of them, and there's no land registry entry for them.

Here's an alternative tack, if you're worried about bills for the installation.
Keep a low profile.  Don't rock the boat; say nothing and agree to nothing.  Wait until 6 full years have passed from when the panels were installed (the time period is different in Scotland).  At 6 years, the Limitation Act kicks in, and you can deny responsibility for any alleged debts that you might have owed.
At that point, you can start being awkward about why you aren't receiving your FIT payments.
    If it sticks, force it.

Sort of previously mentioned keeping a low profile about this,Op chose not to.
Out of curiosity what is the time period in Scotland?.

Five years for most (alleged) debts.  But there are exceptions.
