  • Would it help if I go and take some photos of the signs?
Sorry for the hassle OP - hope it hasn’t put you off visiting Cornwall.
That would be great! Thanks so much. I'm assuming you're nearby?
For the record I love Cornwall and will definitely be returning. (but parking somewhere else)

Very near - although I’ve never come across that carpark!  I will take some photos today/tomorrow and post -  and also complain to our MP.
    Much appreciated!
  • If we could find out the land owner we could contact directly and ask them to cancel the fines. Any suggestion of how this would be possible?

The land registry is a good place to start (costs £3) or maybe ask the local council who pays the non-domestic business rates.  Some council web sites have an excel spread sheet with this information freely available.

Ask H.M.Land Registry is one way.
  • Tried the local council who referred me to council tax department however they wouldn’t give any information out over the phone. Land registry search seems to be the only option - unless anyone has any other suggestions?

You need to be asking the Business Rates people in Cornwall Council, not the Council Tax Dept.

    https://www.cornwall.gov.uk/business/business-rates/

If that doesn't work a polite explicit Freedom of Information Act request will do it.

They are only allowed to withhold that information if the ratepayer is an individual.

  • Are these photos any good?  If not I can get more.  I was going to buy a ticket but it was so time consuming and £5.00 for 1 - 2 hours so far out of town ?!  The rugby club is £6.00 all day til midnight.
Maybe I will get a ticket via ANPR ... 🤣
