It's perfectly possible to constructively criticise, unfortunately in this case that all has come a little bit for the OP. There's also the problem that people consider driving a right rather than a privilege, and the number of bans handed out has reduced over the years as driver numbers have increased, suggesting that the overall standard of driving has reduced.
I don't agree however , I see bad and shocking examples of driving every single day0 -
I have been reading everyone’s comments and I have a few things to say,
fitstly thank you to the people who read my post when I said I was asking for some advice and gave me their advice I have really appreciated it. I now have legal representation who think I have a very strong case.
secondly to everyone who has felt the need to criticise, insult and belittle me over this you do not know the circumstances that built my points up! I got 6 points alone for getting my work phone that was stuck under the accelerator and putting it on the passenger seat. All while I was stopped I just hadn’t turned the engine off! I have never had an accident while driving so far so I don’t see how you can say I’m a dangerous driver when you don’t know me you are just guessing! I don’t want to hear your negativity I asked for advice not to be made to feel worse over my situation! If you have nothing nice to say keep scrolling!1 -

You do realise somebody will now ask "Why was your phone stuck under the accelerator? It doesn't sound very safe."

to be honest all of this is completely off the subject of what I need help with and that matter is closed now it’s the recent speeding offence and the exceptional hardship I have to prove. Witch in the beginning on the original post I was asking for advice for. Also by the time I get to court at the rate this is going and all the delays due to COVID I should have 3 point on my licence as some should of dropped off, can I still get a ban as when they add my point there will be less then 12?0 -

Don't get yourself into that position in the first place... Put your phone somewhere that it can't fall into a dangerous position. DO NOT TOUCH IT while the engine's on. If you need to handle it, stop and turn the engine off. If you're using it for nav or music, in a holder so it's not hand-held... They're dirt cheap - they start at less than a fiver...
I presume from your user name that you're female - so trouser pockets are somewhat of a rarity, and where they do exist, not exactly designed to be functional. Put your phone in your bag, or in the glovebox.
But, of course, that doesn't alter the position you put yourself in with this speeding ticket... Nine points really should be the clue to drive like you're on your driving test, precisely because of the consequences of those next three. The precise circumstances are irrelevant. Simple self-preservation should have prevented you putting yourself into this position.

In an open forum such as this - you don’t get to dictate what people say or don’t say. As long as any board rules are followed - we are after all still entitled to free speech etc etc
If you do t want people to judge etc then don’t post on an open/public forum
There has actually been very little judgement etc etc in this thread anyway imo
If you want people to just say nice things or what you want to hear - try mumsnet
If you want more or better advice - try pepipoo
If you think the judgement and scepticism has been bad in this thread then you have a shock awaiting you in court1
