Coming upto xmas and im sure one of the biggest targets is the xbox 360. Does anyone know were the cheapest place to get one is? sorry if a xbox post already exists but i cannot find it

Argos do some VERY good packages on the Xbox Premium package..

Also GAME do some good deals! So take a look there. Depends on your requireements in terms of number of games, controllers and online use (whether you need the hard drive for demo's or the memory card in the arcade edition of the console just for save games).

which do you reccomend, i would prefer the one just above basic. i dont have much money btw, around £210-£250

£250 is enough I believe.

You can trade in Viva Pinaita to game straight away (sealed) and get £10 or something.. then if you use a reward card you have £7.50 from that package I think..

so with the extra £15 or £17.50 you can buy a memory card (its best to save games on memory card) or 1 year xbox live subscription or toward another game.

There you have 2 controllers, good console, Forza 2 (good game)... So a pretty good package

All within budget!

Ye assassins creed is a True next gen game in the way its been made Definitely one for the gaming enthusiast!

Personally I play a lot of Fifa 2008 on the 360, Football manager 2008 on the PC, and online poker :P thats enough for me at the moment

yup. Spent years reading and watching first though.

Its only worth doing if you have a lot of time to spare learning and doing it. If you don't read and learn the game PROPERLY, then you'll be wasting money as its pure gambling.

If you know the odds and equations to work out whether you're a favourite or not, in the long term you'll always win But its a LOT of work believe me.

Ed Miller has a book on no limit cash hold 'em.. Read that. Then play in $0.05/$0.10 blinds games.. You sit down with $10 max.. the blinds or 0.05/0.10.. so VERY small games.. but once you are CONSISTENTLY making money from it, you can step up to 0.10/0.25 with $25 max sit down...


And yes its all real cash so be verrrry careful Its easy to think your good and be a losing player.. only harms your bank account :P

you may want to check out asda as they have them with two games for £250. i dont think the two games are very appealing myself but you may like them. i cant remember what games they are. you can usually get good bundles in hmv. you can get one at amazon for £250 that includes either fifa08 or tiger woods 08.

try and find the pro version rather than the premium version coz that one is more likely to suffer the ring of death i am led to believe.

This is from Play.com. The deal is £249.99 but there are plenty of £5 of £50 vouchers floating about.

Edit: I have just looked, and it's now gone up to £279.99 so it'll be £274.99 with a voucher for a Premium 360, extra controller and 3 games. Seems I got a bargain. But it may be worth keeping an eye on it, because it may go back to £249.
