  • Why would the OP have to say he is following an example when what he is proposing is perfectly legal?

You should stop smoking that cannabis dude.
OP asked if he would be breaking the Scottish Government rules. I merely stated that in my opinion he would be.
I am not my brothers keeper and made no moral judgement. Few of us can claim to always abide by all the rules? I certainly do not.

  • Its a good job that he will be under the jurisdiction of a totally different set of rules when he breaks the Scottish ones then, isnt it? 🤣

Really? Which ones? Because the minute he crosses the border the English rules apply.

And I see no general restrictions on travel from Scotland here....https://www.gov.scot/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-what-you-can-and-cannot-do/pages/seeing-friends-and-family/
I must admit, that was where my thinking was taking me. When in England, do as the English do.

Is there any wonder the guidelines are broken, when large parts seem a little blurry!
You ought to follow the rules as determined by the country you live in.
It is quite clear, those who live in Scotland ought not visit other households. As I stated, if you need clarification contact Scottish Government.
However, I would agree there are many who ignore the rules and there are glaring contradictions.

S o, how does that work when you go  abroad on holiday which you are quite entitled to do? Professor Leitch confirmed on TV that people   holidays booked could still go.
  • I went and fired a gun in a shop in Las Vegas last year. Funnily enough i didnt have Greater Manchester Police waiting for me when I landed back in the UK. I wonder why? 🤔

Interesting that the welsh lockdown areas think they can say to people don't travel abroad. (I'm assuming they include England in that definition, giving they want everyone to stay in the area to avoid it spreading.

  • We have the same problem here

We cannot cross the border at Donegal, but can at Newry - just a few miles down the road

is it any wonder why people are so bloody confused as what we can and can not do?

It was a successful heist then ?   :p
Glad to hear the remarks by Professor Leitch about going on holiday from Scotland as I'm (hopefully) off to Germany and Turkey next month.
Not in a restricted area up here, but who knows what is around the corner.
